Fatshotbud Posted April 11, 2008 Author Posted April 11, 2008 » » OMG:crying: speechless. Customs? Yup - crazy with a razor knife. Package taped back up and labeled cleared - very cruel, not sure why they just did not keep package unless it was to send another message.
CIGARHead Posted April 11, 2008 Posted April 11, 2008 Bud...damn that sucks man. Sorry to see that. It really does make my stomach hurt.
Taino Posted April 11, 2008 Posted April 11, 2008 What's the porpoise of this brutality?! go see a shrink man! This is no useful, dissecting a human being can save lives, but this?!??!
Sandman Posted April 11, 2008 Posted April 11, 2008 Just plain horrible!!! I would rather see a human dissected before seeing this. Just kidding, but man, what a cruel thing to do.
greenpimp Posted April 11, 2008 Posted April 11, 2008 Man bud I am so sorry. That breaks my heart. DO NOT, however, toss them. At least, I wouldn't. You can have them rerolled with another wrapper, even binder, at some cigar shops. Or smoke them out of a pipe. Or **** send some cut ones to me and I'll make it up to you.;-) That is just cruel.
Mel39 Posted April 11, 2008 Posted April 11, 2008 Must be a sadistic psychopath. As you say, why not just confiscate them? Sick!
Professor Twain Posted April 11, 2008 Posted April 11, 2008 Friend on another Board just had the same damn thing happen... New tactic from Customs?
Evo03 Posted April 11, 2008 Posted April 11, 2008 I had the same thing happen to a package from Canada a few years ago. They just sliced through the box, cutting across the 4 cigars. Then they sent the package through with no warning or anything.
shrink Posted April 11, 2008 Posted April 11, 2008 That's a real shame, and would be a loss with any cigars... But the Tacos Imperiales? Man, that's heartwrenching. Greenpimp's right. I believe that there are rollers who can put these back together again. They won't be the beauties that they once were, but they'll taste good. I hope that your vendor will stand behind this loss.
Ginseng Posted April 12, 2008 Posted April 12, 2008 » WARNING - not for weak of heart » Good god. That makes me feel queasy just looking at it. Terribly sorry for the interception. This does seem to be getting more common. I've seen a few cases in the last 6 months. On the upside, looks like a swarthy blend with plenty of ligero. Wilkey
El Presidente Posted April 12, 2008 Posted April 12, 2008 Damn thats ugly. Leters appear to be a thing of the past. Interceptions either lead to a destruction or re-sealing of parcel and onforwarding intact. Go figure. Happens on any given day out of the blue. Pure numbers game. Look forward to the day when no-one has to worry about this retarded policy.
havanaclub7 Posted April 12, 2008 Posted April 12, 2008 HC7 I had to edit your post as it is never good to mention sources here or alude to them. "Give them nothing, take them nowhere".

SmokinAl Posted April 12, 2008 Posted April 12, 2008 Tragic and terrible. Mindless buggers. Drop me a PM with your email. Al
mkz Posted April 12, 2008 Posted April 12, 2008 Oh! The humanity!!! :crying: Thats just plain mean!!! Sorry to hear about your loss. I really hope your H.Upmann Antigua Humidor arrives in a better manor... or would they chop that one up with a chainsaw?
kirill Posted April 12, 2008 Posted April 12, 2008 What the hell is that all about? American customs giving out warnings Godfather style? I'm really feeling with you, breaks my heart to see these pictures :crying:
Don Candido Posted April 12, 2008 Posted April 12, 2008 Man that is just wrong! Save the tobacco and roll Collector's Item H. Upmann blunts... Er uh, did I say that?

If this ever happened to me I would still find a way to smoke that tobacco. :-D And, really, I don't understand why Customs bothers with this. The tobacco is still smokable. They are still sending an "illegal" product through to the consumer that can still be consumed. It's a pointless, unnecessary, and cruel maneuver. Why is it not good enough to just seize the cigars? I don't understand why this sort of thing is allowed.
Hugomarink Posted April 12, 2008 Posted April 12, 2008 Btw, what is TACOS? I don't know the acronym. Sorry if this is a newb question.
