If I am paying some hard earned cash on some fabulous cigars, do you think I am going to think twice about whether or not 'cigar smoking cuases lung cancer'

My point is I've dropped some $$ on a lovely box and won't be thinking twice. Sure If I WAS going to lay down a measle $10 for a pack of ciggies I might think twice....why do they continue to ruin beautiful boxes with message that would better scare a 15 year old kid from his first puff on a marlboro light than a cigar lover such as ourselves!!!!

my rant for the day...Ta Prez Dip #5s arrived today...:-D

Outside of a hair dryer there is nothing that can be done.

Was happy that the PLRobusto arrived sticker free. Needless to say that we applied them dilligently :lookaround:

Whats even worse is when you do take the stickers off w/ a hair dryer, it leaves a sticky residue....somewhere in that sentence is a sick joke, but I aint touchin that one.:-|

I have a cure, a complete one for varnished boxes. I will start a new thread so it can be searched.

» Call me nuts but I like them.:lookaround:

Yep nuts.

They're so bloody juvenile and quite simply unnecessary. I've yet to meet a cigar smoker who was not fully aware of the possible ramifications of our habit. It's a risk we're more than willing to take. But that ain't enough for the Nanny Squad.

That is because her family sued the health department. She was not in hospital for a smoke related illness

That is a disgrace by our government.

I mean how unbelievably terrible to trade off someone's misfortune to that extent in the first place, even assuming it was somehow smoke related, but in circumstances where it is not then it is simply disgusting behaviour.

Where is the accountability of these people - these faceless bureaucrats who ram their agendas down our throats

Haha, that's funny...

How come I always get the same sticker, the one with the lung cancer picture? I'd like to collect the others, too! :-D What else is there? Other unrelated diseases, I assume?

I worked as a faceless bureaucrat for 28 years. A bureaucrat with accountabilty is an oxymoron.
