jdbrown Posted August 4, 2007 Posted August 4, 2007 First Post! I sent Rob this Email last week after joining. I find it difficult in these hectic times to enjoy a larger format cigar. Kid's sports and all the other crap take up so much time. I was wondering if you would be so kind to rank or list your 5-10 favorite Pc or smaller cigars. I do enjoy PLPC but have not tried the many other's out there! Thanks in Advance

zuma Posted August 4, 2007 Posted August 4, 2007 My five favourite half-coronas (reyes/perla/minutos), in order of preference Trinidad Reyes Cohiba Siglo I Partagas Shorts Montecristo #5 Ramon Allones Small Club Coronas I have yet to fang the Cohiba Secretos that I got in the Czar's sampler (they will be resting for another two weeks)...
winelover Posted August 4, 2007 Posted August 4, 2007 I think it is hard to beat a good monte 4 or petit tubos. Otherwise I have thoroughly enjoyed include San Luis Rey PC - full bodied honey and trini reyes. Would also give the EL Principe an honourable mention but these cigars must be "on" because when they are sick, in my experience there's no other sick cigar that tastes as bad!
Claudius Posted August 4, 2007 Posted August 4, 2007 » I think it is hard to beat a good monte 4 or petit tubos. Even with a Ramon Allones Small Club Corona? I find them nothing short of fantastic. Such an aromatic, spicy little smoke. :-)
Gryphon Posted August 4, 2007 Posted August 4, 2007 It will depend on your preffered flavour profile. Here some to consider: Party shorts RASCC Trini Reyes Siglo I Punch Petit Punch Punch RS 12 Punch PC Monte 4 & 5 Bolivar PC Juan Lope PC Partagas SDC No.3
bassman Posted August 4, 2007 Posted August 4, 2007 If you like strong & earthy, try the PC del Punch, with at least 3 years age.
hoyopr Posted August 4, 2007 Posted August 4, 2007 Hoyo Petit Robusto Partagas Short Cohiba Siglo 1 Cohiba Siglo 2 These four offer variety as well as are all shorter smoke times. All have a spot in my rotation.

tigger Posted August 6, 2007 Posted August 6, 2007 I don't smoke many short cigars these days, but like, and try to keep on hand: -RASSC -Partgas Chicos (Cheap and uncomplicated, but when I'm in the mood, they hit the spot) -Monte #4 -PLPC -Bolivar PC Another tasty option is the Trini Reyes, although they're kinda dear for their size.
bobsled Posted August 6, 2007 Posted August 6, 2007 All of these are fantastic: Boli PC's Trini Reyes Party Shorts Siglo I & II Monte 4's
Wiley Posted August 6, 2007 Posted August 6, 2007 I am in the same boat with you! I have been smoking: Montecristo #5 Trinidad Reyes Punch RS 12 Cohiba Siglo II Partagas SdC #3 Diplomatico #4 PL PC
Smooth Posted August 7, 2007 Posted August 7, 2007 I also smoke a hell of alot of smaller cigars... Its seems im always drawn to the romance of a large vitola, but sadly rarely get the chance! Here are 5 I enjoy... - HDM Le Hoyo du prince - Cohiba Siglo I - Bolivar CJ - Partagas Short - Bolivar PC - Diplomatico 4
