Yeah, I know, haha...I figured you set me up so nicely that I had to go ahead and compliment my new accessories with some Puros.:hungry:

Once you've tasted great service, there's no going back!

I get a chuckle out of Rob "testing" the merchandise to see if I should buy it! :-D

While Rob is away please don't think the "Testing" or as I prefer to say R&D (We get a tax deduction from the Government for R&D) will slow down. I will make sure there are several new tasting notes on the forum

You've probably heard this before - you might want to give them a chance to

acclimate - a couple of weeks, longer is better.

It's tough to wait, but worth it - just my opinion.

Yeah, you are right. I am very anxious, but need to do that. Thanks for the advice. Cheers.

You won't be sorry if you let them rest 4 or 5 weeks in your humidor. Nice choices BTW.

I have already had a CoRo and PSD#4...and they were both very nice...what can I say, I am new to this passion (only having NC's before) and couldn't wait the 4-5 weeks...I am in the process of building a collection. I know it will take some time, but I am patient with regards to that. ;-)

My friend and I built a humidor cabinet...when we are finished, I will post up pics. It is 42" H, 22"W, 24" D...we made it out of furniture grade Oak, with solid Oak trim and door. It really came out nice so far...the spanish cedar is on order and we will finish by next weekend. I am in search of a nice 18"X19.5" slab of black granite to place on top within the trim. It is quite unique.

Cheers.

As promised...

I figure it will hold 60+ boxes/cabinets and about 150 loose, give or take. I am happy I went 24" deep...it makes it a lot easier to fit boxes. As you can see from the pics, I only have 8 boxes on the top shelf...for now...it will grow.

It is sealed pretty tight and a very solid piece of furniture. Please ask any questions or give your opinion...thanks.

Oh, I'm very happy with Club Czar...I was just posting pics of the humidor...didn't want to waste a new thread. Cheers.:-D

Very nice pics, looks like a great piece of furniture.

From your hygrometer it reads a bit high, try to get it down to 65 or below percent. The more boxes you store (here's the catch 22) the more steady the humidity will be.

A very nice cabinet!

I love the granite top and the fogged glass.

What hygrometer are you currently useing? Many people keep their Cuban cigars at lower humidity than 72%. It all depends on personal taste, but I think they smoke so much better below 65%.

I noticed you're using humidification beads. You might consider putting them in mesh bags because they tend to get knocked around and are a pain in the arse to clean once spilled (trust me, I know).

I also think that you might better enjoy your cabinet if you moved the metal cans out of the bottom. RH tends to settle at the bottom and those cans often rust easily and I'd hate to see you wake up one morning and see several rust rings ontop of the spanish cedar.

The cabinet is beatiful. ;-)

Thanks to everyone for the advice and feedback...

I will take out a bowl or two of the beads to help lower the RH. Since my adventure has just begun, I haven't acquired enough product to knock the bowls around...not yet at least. And I will definitely take out the cans too. ;-) I didn't think about rust rings.

I bought the hygrometer from Radio Shack.

Thanks again.

Hey jay...

Very nice man. I have a couple of questions for you. Im planning on building the same almost identical dimensions, for the weather stripping: do you have it on the four sides or just the three, and if it is just the three do you believe the fourth would help? Second, how thick is the marble(or granite)?, sorry lost train of thought. On mine was planning on using Kingswood for the body and for the part you have as granite, i was planning on using either cocobola, bloodwood and thinking possibly Purpleheart.
