El Presidente Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 Just an update. PCCHK sent me the pricing last night. I just had a query on one of them and will confirm this morning before posting it later today. PCC HK have taken the step of setting domestic and international minimum retail & wholesale sale prices. Each box is numbered and the distributors are responsible to ensure that the pricing integrity is maintained. PCCHK will hold a register of which distributors were sold what boxes. The distributors hold the records as to which retailers were sold what boxes. So all in all, as a distributor I am locked into the price I am given. I will sell at the minimum (at max discount) to FOH members and include freight. Don't worry it is not too bad. Will post final price in a few hours once I have had confirmation of the pricing after the anomoly I raised.
pnutbutrsangwich Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 Hooray! Put me down for an Estupendo DB.;-) Pics too please ;-)
habanohal Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 » Tap, tap, tap. . . :-D Hours are going by.......
KB24 Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 I don't even know a damn thing about these Estupendos but with all the excitement and with a recomendation from my buddy Tampa1257 count me in for a box. I asked him what he could recommend as a cigar I wil have 1 maybe 2x per year for special occasions only and the Estupendo is what he suggested. Waiting in anticipation for these prices.

There's not much to know... pretty much no one here has ever even seen one. All I know is I love RA and these are RA... case closed.

Spud2 Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 Is the 200 Posts or 5 Reviews rule in affect on these? Get busy newbies if it is. :-D

The man is kindly laying out what he faces in terms of PCC's efforts to control pricing and distribution. I appreciate being privy to a little insight.
El Presidente Posted October 26, 2006 Author Posted October 26, 2006 Price of PCC Regional Editions is as follows: ****Note**** 1. Prices include Freight. 2. Single sticks will only be available upon gauging of demand and allocation. I don't see a problem with the Punch but the Ramon Allones looks likely to be sold out through box sales in the first few weeks. 3. Those who have already e-mailed Lisa have first preference. I will not have my allocations confirmed until early next week and the cigars will not arrive in my humidor until approx the 10th of November. We will commence processing orders on the 1st of November in order to avoid a bottleneck. 4. I will send out a general e-mail to all members later today. Punch Super Robusto (155mm x 50 Ring Gauge) International Sales: 25 count: $405 USD 50 Cab $810 USD Singles: $16.20 USD Australian Sales: 25 count: $750 AUD 50 Cab: $1500 AUD Siingle: $37.50 AUD Ramon Allones Estupendo (47 x 178mm) International Sales: 25 count: $ 393.75 USD 50 Cab $ 787.50 USD Singles: $15.75 USD Australian Sales: 25 count: $740 AUD 50 Cab: $1480 AUD Single: $37 AUD
El Presidente Posted October 27, 2006 Author Posted October 27, 2006 » Ouch! Damn them Habanos priceing people. Could have been worse Prices are in line with other Regional Releases when you take into account the size of the cigars. PCCHK is only attempting (through controlling minimum pricing) to protect their interests and I respect that. Those who sell under will receive no Por Larranaga Robusto (2007 regional release) next year. Nice incentive
pnutbutrsangwich Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 So, was the anomaly the fact that the Punch is more than the RA? That surprised me a little bit.

The reality is that in much of Asia, Punch is a far more popular Marque. The difference in price is minimal. Hopefully it means more Ramon Allones for us :-)

josie67 Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 Pricy, but hell yes I am in for both Punch and RA!!
