It looks like in that grouping the Fonseca is the only one I can see clearly beating the $15 US threshold? At least in France.

Not quite - as per Rob’s op - “duty free” pricing. Garand quotes German regular fixed (B&M) pricing, where  e.g. the ERDM comes in at USD 16.40 which is inclusive of all duties and taxes.

Edit: On the other hand, the cited Padron Principe Maduro wouldn’t then make the cut either, as per German pricing, running at about $22,80 as per current exchange rate…🥲

So if you can find some of these in an airport there's a chance they will come in under $15 per stick? In today's world that's impressive.

Bitter truth is, you won’t find them DF / grey market. 😅

That’s really tough, personally a cigar I constantly go back to happy every time is the Padron 2000 Maduro. In the USA I can get them $9-10. For a Cuban, I think H Upmann Majestic really deliver especially the price. I think I paid $9-12 depending on how you cut the shipping.

It's very hard for me, there’s a lot of cigars I’d like to throw in there but I’ll stay with this.

I picked up a box of Padron 3000 last week for less than $10/stick in the US and will rest them for a while. Been a while since I’ve had one. But I added to my “aging experiment bin”.

Picked up some 2023 H Upmann Majestics off BR a month or so ago. They came in at a hair under $15. Shared one with a good friend. First for both of us. I do like them when they aren’t plugged.

I’m gonna add, as I’m smoking it now, BR Linea D No.6 Petit 109. Just picked up a 25’r on a deal under $15/stick. It’s a fantastic smoke. Perfect burn.

Once a company starts stacking:

  • price hikes
  • expensive shipping
  • weak bundle or box value vs fiver value
  • constant promotional urgency

I am out. Blow marketing smoke until you turn blue. I have seen this movie and will not buy a ticket.  Way too many options to the consumer if they don’t drink the Kool-Aid.

I'll chime in...

--BR Linea D No.6 Petit 109

--Illusione Epernay Le Grande (6x46) and Le Matin (6.5x46)

--Curivari Seleccion Privada Coronations Cazadores (6 1/8x44)

--Paul Garmirian Gourmet Series Corona Grande (6.5 x 46) or Connoisseur (6 x 50)

--Puro Desnudo - Lonsdale N9 (obviously, LOL, one of my favs!)

Going to give the MOFOH Mag 44 a try with the deal this weekend. Hearing great things, imagine it will be added to the list above.

I’ll jump the gun and (I believe?) be the first to mention the the Bond Roberts Dalia. I have a very strong suspicion that cigar over time will be at the very very top of my cigar rotation.

I can't wait to taste mine once they have sufficiently recovered. Delivery guy decided to leave my box on the porch step in full sun on a 90°F day instead of on the shaded and partly insulated package table in front of my Ring camera that is specifically set up for cigars and other perishables. I tried one after resting a week or so and it was very rough and harsh. 😭 Tobacco is fermented at pretty high temps, so I'm surprised the effect was that profound, but apparently it was. How long after transit did you try yours?

Mine shipped on a Friday, arrived Monday (I live in FL) and I smoked one about 15 minutes after my mail carrier handed me the box. Was incredibly good. Just smoking another one now (four weeks rest tomorrow), very good but needs time still. There is a citrus/lemongrass thing going on with these. I hate to do the CC parallel but a Cohiba Siglo V is coming to mind. High confidence these are an exceptional cigar.

AF Hemingway series. One of the few NC that can hold their own against CC.

Speaking of blue, I’d say the Tatuaje Serie P Honduras has to be included on this list. It’s not only sub $15, it’s sub $5 when you buy a box!

I'm fascinated by these, price is certainly compelling and my Tatuaje experiences have been overwhelmingly positive. I guess there's a Miami version now too.

Beirut Duty Free. Around 125-135 for the RG and 140 for the QD50 boxes when I last purchased a few months ago.
