Tatuaje Discontinues 16 SKUs, Announces Price Increase

April 28, 2026 - Patrick Lagreid

Tatuaje has announced that it is both trimming its portfolio and implementing a price increase on a number of its products effective May 1.

In an email sent to retailers, the company announced that it will be “retiring” 16 SKUs from its portfolio as it streamlines its offerings and concentrates more on the core lines. When announcing that cigars have been removed from its price list, the company has used the term “retired” as opposed to saying they’ve been discontinued.

The following cigars are being retired, with some having small quantities still available for retailers to order and others being completely out of stock:

  • Cabaiguan Guapos RX Natural (5 1/4 x 50)
  • Cabaiguan Guapos RX Maduro (5 1/4 x 50)
  • L’Atelier LAT52 Selection Spéciale (4 3/4 x 52)
  • L’Atelier LAT54 Selection Spéciale (5 5/8 x 54)
  • L’Atelier LAT56 Selection Spéciale (6 1/2 x 56)
  • Nuevitas Esteli (5 x 52)

  • Nuevitas Jibaro No.2 (6 x 52
  • Surrogates 7th Sam (6 3/4 x 48/52)
  • Surrogates Big Ten (5 1/4 x 52)
  • Surrogates Crystal Baller (5 3/4 x 56)
  • Tatuaje Broadleaf Collection Cojonú 2003 Broadleaf (6 1/2 x 52)

Pete's cigars are really reasonable as it stands so I don't fault the company for a price increase. As long as they don't turn into Plasencia or Davidoff with their pricing.

Bummer, I love the Tainos Broadleaf. Probably have gone through 10 boxes of them…when they are “on” they have been amazing. Also sad to see him move away from some of the 10 count boxes and replace them with 21 count boxes.

Hmmm. Less regular production and more LTOs. Where have we heard this before?

Where did you read more LTO offerings?

Anyways, Tats have held reasonable prices for so many years compared to many.

No more LAT? Omg!

LAT52 was always a go-to for me. Enjoyable and one of the more Cubanesque sticks out there in my opinion.

As far as the broadleaf goes, the 7th (I think the name for the corona Gorda) is another good one.
