Popular Post Lucas Buck Posted March 9 Popular Post Posted March 9 True - I also would always smoke outside if possible. I smoke in my car, my cave and outside but always prefer outside if conditions are good. Enjoying a fine cigar on a beautiful day is one of life’s great pleasures. 7
BrightonCorgi Posted March 9 Posted March 9 There's some truth to it. Having the smoke waft around you does add to the aroma and enjoyment. There are a lot of factors to make it more true or false. Smoking inside with a strong smoke eater lessens the enjoyment for instance. 3
chasy Posted March 9 Posted March 9 Depends if there are a lot of other smokers in the room. If there are, no. If outside I prefer no wind. 3
Popular Post Havanaaddict Posted March 9 Popular Post Posted March 9 I would say both! I would say cigars do perform better inside, like if it is windy the cigar will burn faster and wonky. That being said when it comes to enjoying a cigar, that can be done anyplace anytime! But as in most outdoor areas you can't enjoy a cigar now days without siting in your own back yard. 7
Popular Post JohnS Posted March 9 Popular Post Posted March 9 "All cigars perform better indoors" True. "...but indoors is not always the best way to enjoy a cigar." I'm 50/50 on this also. I have enjoyed some incredible cigars smoking indoors, but only on rare occasions and the cigars themselves were usually upper-tier Habanos ones (i.e aged regular productions or special releases). I also enjoy smoking outdoors, providing there is little to no wind. 6

Chibearsv Posted March 9 Posted March 9 Is there really a belief that ALL cigars perform BETTER indoors? The question didn't revolve around smoking in a 20 mph wind or in a rainstorm. How so is every cigar performing better indoors for you? The bulk of my cigars perform wonderfully outdoors. How are y'all determining a cigars performance? Does it need to do more than burn, draw, and remain well constructed throughout? I'm curious, since that's all I need it to do. The rest of it is the experience, not the performance. At least, that's my opinion. 2

cnov Posted March 10 Posted March 10 Outside with no wind is my preference. There is no lounge that I know of in the county I live in. I go to London very rarely and have my pants pulled down to sit in a sampling room, which is great fun, but I come out stinking and poor. There's also the garage, like a ships galley, long and narrow with a dartboard at one end. It's okay, but you have a few people in there smoking it becomes pretty uncomfortable. It's bloody cold in winter and a touch on the damp side with no comfortable seating. It's not my first choice. You can't beat the outdoors with my limited options. 3
