Not one post beyond me even mentioned Saturday Night Fever I second your Saturday Night Fever mention. The others you just mentioned great too. Grease hasn't been mentioned at all either, a bit of a surprise for me. 2
Popular Post gormag38 Posted February 19 Popular Post Posted February 19 First one I thought of was Into the Wild. But you gotta be into the acoustic stuff. Personally I think Eddie Vedder nailed it. 5
Popular Post Havanaaddict Posted February 19 Popular Post Posted February 19 Pulp Fiction Reservoir Dogs 5

Chucko8 Posted February 20 Posted February 20 I enjoyed the Pulp Fiction sound track. For sure, Guardians of the Galaxy also. 3
Mr. DD Posted February 20 Posted February 20 I’m thinking Animal House, Apocalypse Now, Repo Man! Does ‘The Song Remains the Same’ count? 4
Ford2112 Posted February 20 Posted February 20 Harold and Maude was another great one. Cat Stevens. Bud Cort just passed away too. Great movie as well. 2 1

Until the End of the World. Wim Wenders masterpiece. Oh yes, +1 for me on Until the End of the World. Title track is U2's most underrated song, it's perfect. For me, the below two scores/soundtracks are truly great. Trevor Jones did most of the heavy lifting on The Last of the Mohicans score. I think Randy Edelman filled in some gaps. John Powell does great work with small orchestras, and the first Bourne sequel was his best work. Be careful putting this on the car stereo while driving down the freeway, you'll end up driving 30 miles over the speed limit. 4

It was an awesome experience. I really wish more people could see that movie and appreciate it. For a very long time it was just unavailable in the US. It seems whatever licensing dispute caused this has been resolved because I was finally able to buy the Bluray a while back. Also, agree on the Bourne music. I had "Treadstone Assassins" as my phone ring tone for a good while. It really fit well for that purpose, in my opinion. 2
Ford2112 Posted February 20 Posted February 20 The distinction between a movie soundtrack and a movie score I think needs to be more clearly defined. 1
Islandboy Posted February 20 Posted February 20 Guardians of the Galaxy is great, but it’s Almost Famous for me. 3
Popular Post JPark3 Posted February 20 Popular Post Posted February 20 I love cyberpunk neo-noir so I've gotta throw in Blade Runner. The music captures the tone so well 5 1
loose_axle Posted February 20 Posted February 20 The Trinity Movies, John Wick Series, Guardians of the Galaxy and Studio Ghibli films. As far as TV goes, Strangers Things has a great soundtrack. I love it. 3
Popular Post Namisgr11 Posted February 21 Popular Post Posted February 21 I'm a fan of soundtracks of 60's music. Easy Rider and The Big Chill come to mind, plus the reggae of The Harder They Come. Woodstock for importance - that movie shook this 16 year old from the suburbs to his core. 6
