Either that, or I’m confused, which is completely possible. John Williams and Ennio Morricone created musical scores, not soundtracks, right? I may have gone the wrong way on this. For curated soundtrack I’ll go with Last Action Hero. 2 1

Total gamechanger mashing up 2 hot bans on each track, including 'Just Another Victim' with lead HOP singer playing the role of Rhodes. Cheers! Edit - honorable mention to The Blues Brothers Helmet/ HOP mashup: Holy c**p you beat me to it. Judgment Night is the best movie soundtrack of all time. 2 1
sbsbsb1 Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Currently watching Lawrence of Arabia over a couple nights...pretty epic score. 3
svmiiller Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago For movie I would say The Crow soundtrack. Some TV shows also come to mind. For example Longmire and Yellowstone. 3
Ruggerpgh99 Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago If we are talking scoring movies not soundtracks, Hans Zimmer is a standout. Pirates + Gladiator Scores are untouchable. 1

A musical score is original music specifically composed to accompany a film, enhancing its emotional and narrative elements, while a movie soundtrack is a collection of songs, which may include pre-existing tracks or original songs, that are featured in the film but not necessarily composed for it. Essentially, scores are instrumental and created for the film, whereas soundtracks can include various genres and artists.
bmac Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago In honor of the passing of Robert Duvall, I’d have to say Apocalypse Now. 1

Capn_Jackson Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Jurassic Park is my very favorite. Followed maybe by Raiders of the Lost Ark 1

The kids are going on a pasta only diet starting tomorrow 🤔 2
Capn_Jackson Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago If we’re talking about curated soundtracks, Almost Famous. 2

I gather Moe is referring to soundtracks composed of popular music rather than orchestral scores (the latter of which is of easily overlooked but crucial importance in my opinion). 3

Plus anything with Mark Lanegan and Mudhoney on it is awesome! Heavy Metal Soundtrack is another one I love. I was coming here for this, but you beat me to it! The version of Drown by Smashing Pumpkins is only available on the soundtrack and it’s 8 1/2 minutes of spectacular! Next to Starla, it’s my favorite SP song. And, it’s highly possible that Pearl Jam and Soundgarden might have not existed had Andrew Wood not OD’d. Btw, my Starla: 3 1
