El Presidente Posted October 28, 2025 Posted October 28, 2025 This series to explore whether a particular cigar is humidor worthy. Cost these days is an issue for many so let's see if we can highlight some absolute standouts. This should particularly assist those new to the cigar world. To be fair, most of the cigars we have featured to date have scored exceptionally well. Surprisingly well! Scoring is: 1-3 (Poor) 4-6 (Average to good) 7-10 (very good to excellent) Use the Poll. You are more than free to comment away Is there a classier Petit Corona in the world today that the Siglo II? The answer is a resolute no. Don't even bother arguing Is it ridiculously priced at $33 + USD a pop? I think it is overpriced, but I also think there are worse examples of extortion in the Habanos catalogue. I wouldn't hesitate to pay $25 USD for a Siglo II as a regular rotation cigar. It is up there in terms of $ but the cigar is so good and so far ahead of any other Petit Corona in terms of class and complexity. The only thing that comes close for me is well aged Por Larranaga Petit Corona and they have to be bang on at their peak (8+?) Have your say! Today: Cohiba Siglo II. Let's kick off the discussion Let us know in this thread 1
FOHgetaboutit Posted October 28, 2025 Posted October 28, 2025 Another wonderful poll! I've got some resting ... I have a SLB RAT 20 PLPC that are smoking like a DREAM right now. I'm curious how they will compare to the Siglo II once they become of age. 1
Puros Y Vino Posted October 28, 2025 Posted October 28, 2025 My favourite Siglo. I was 7-10's on every questions except the "humidor worthy" one as the pricing on these make it less so. 3
griller Posted October 29, 2025 Posted October 29, 2025 My favorite Petit Corona, too. My 1st box of Cuban cigars back in 1996 and they've always held a special place to me ever since that first puff. Current price is nauseating but there will always be a box of these in my humidor if I'm able. I'll cut back on other acquisitions, sell a kidney, etc... 3
Ford2112 Posted October 29, 2025 Posted October 29, 2025 This is the small format cigar I miss the most post-Cigarmageddon. When aged and on, they are all class. I had great consistency in the past. Unfortunately between these and Reyes I smoked them all 😞😓 2 1
Duder Posted October 29, 2025 Posted October 29, 2025 The absolute king of PCs. So rich, so full of magical flavors. Dreamy with significant age. Hard to justify these days at triple the price of my second favorite PLPC but as a CoHo from long ago they will always have a place in my humidor. 2
smashed Posted October 29, 2025 Posted October 29, 2025 Sig II are great. Although I like Sig III better. 1
MrBirdman Posted October 29, 2025 Posted October 29, 2025 It may not be the best Cohiba but it’s certainly the one I smoke the most of. I stocked up on half a dozen boxes before the price hike but I’m burning through them at a good clip. Tough decision coming but they aren’t worth more than $30. 1
FOHgetaboutit Posted November 1, 2025 Posted November 1, 2025 What kind of age do these start to shine for everyone?
Duder Posted November 3, 2025 Posted November 3, 2025 Minimum 5 years but spectacular with 10-20 or more. 2
