Popular Post Havanaaddict Posted October 15, 2025 Popular Post Posted October 15, 2025 Pre-Revolution Quintero Nacionales I was going through some of my older boxes and I ran into this one with a single lone cigar left! Not a lot of info on this but it looks like by the perforated edges (like a stamp). It was made between Warranty Seal - 1931 to 1961 the stamp looks like Pre-February 1962. Early custom band. 8 3
El Presidente Posted October 15, 2025 Posted October 15, 2025 Very cool Now the question...will you ever smoke it? For members, if this was your cigar...would you...could you, ever smoke it? 3

The cello has kept the flavors very rich and full. All my cigars are fair game, but I’m sure I will save it for a special occasion! 6

For members, if this was your cigar...would you...could you, ever smoke it? Yes. I'm not leaving it for someone else to. I only have two nearly untouchable cigars. A 1910 Clear Havana and a 1970's Cuban Lancero from a Diplomatic humidor for an Argentinian politician. But, I'm thinking they will need to be smoked sooner than later. 2

Tony Hyman has the box as an exhibit in his museum; I gave him all my old boxes before I moved since I and everyone else could enjoy them digitally without the clutter. Details are up there on his site. He dated them to 1915. I bought the inventory of a very old bricked up cigar store in a Maine basement that had been constantly at 55/55. Construction uncovered it in the 1980s. The cigars were all in superb shape and still are. Shockingly tasty for their age, though of course a bit faded and slightly past peak. 😆 They must have been powerhouses in their day. Edit: Here's the page the box is on. http://cigarhistory.info/Wooden_box_types/Boxes_of_250.html 5 1 1
Popular Post SCgarman Posted October 16, 2025 Popular Post Posted October 16, 2025 If you are saving them for a special day, that day may never come. Look at MRN's collection. Two million dollars worth of cigars, and other people are smoking his collection. None of us know when the final bell tolls. 6 1

Well, not quite. The man enjoyed many a great cigar. And still kept an awesome collection. Part of the joy (for him).

It was my favorite SF cheapie until I got a hold of Piedra.
