This series to explore whether a particular cigar is humidor worthy. Cost these days is an issue for many so let's see if we can highlight some absolute standouts. This should particularly assist those new to the cigar world.  

To be fair, most of the cigars we have featured to date have scored exceptionally well. Surprisingly well!

The Romeo y Julieta Wide Churchill is a top 10 Habanos seller globally. At its best, it is one damn fine cigar smoking experience with a beautiful R&J blend. Due to gauge, this is not a cigar that I normally reach for, but almost every time I do I am impressed. 

Today: Romeo y Julieta Wide Churchill.   Do you enjoy them? Fresh or aged? If aged....how long before they generally hit their stride.

Wasn’t paying attention and thought this was the Churchill….but I still think my votes apply. I think the Wide Churchill is more dependable construction-wise. Too many plugged Churchills.

I've smoked one or two and loved them. Need to add a box but as I've got two of the regular RyJs Churchill and they're pretty similar in flavour (to me) I haven't gotten around to it.

I have an EML Nov 14 box of these that simply are outstanding, just an incredible smoke.

My 2021's have been very good as of lately (sorry no box date). They needed 3+ years to bring out the cherry and they are worth it. I recently purchased a box of 2019's that I have not tried yet. Not a big fan of the fat ring gauge but the flavors make up for it.

My thoughts exactly. Similarly for the Hoyo Rio Seco. Love the blend but the gauge restricts the number of outings I give it.

The same can be said for the Wide Edmundo. I overlook the size because that blend is outstanding. Over the years I have found the Wide Churchills inconsistent.

The Wide Edmundo is the cigar that taught me I don’t enjoy smoking 54+ rg cigars. You’re right that the blend is outstanding, but about halfway through I start wishing I lit ANYTHING 52 or less.

First couple I had seems a lot better than the next few. So I got cold feet on these. Similar with the Wide Edmundo actually.

In 2020 I had a box that was remarkable. I blew through that box and was never able to replicate that experience again. I gave up.
