Likely translated by a habanese impaired local. Or it could be their misinterpretation of "Club Pasion Habanos", in that all the members are passionados or passionetes. John

A Finite Limited Edition - as opposed to an unlimited limited edition? I mean I get it’s the name of the cigar but maybe don’t choose a name that looks ridiculous to a large segment of your market.

I don't think they care.

H. Upmann Magnum Finite Edición Limitada 2024 Goes On Sale

After a lengthy multi-year wait, the H. Upmann Magnum Finite Edición Limitada 2024 is showing up on retailer shelves around the world.

The Magnum Finite is a robusto extra vitola that measures 5 1/8 (130mm) x 53, a new size for the Cuban portfolio known as the Singulares. The cigars debuted last year during an event in Spain, and multiple distributors have confirmed that boxes of the cigar are in their possession and are slowly making their way to stores. In Spain, the price list has the cigars at €50 per cigar ($57.75) or €1,250 ($1,443.75) per box of 25.

Boxes of the cigar will be released on Aug. 5 in La Casa del Habano shops in Switzerland, with pricing set at 47 Swiss francs ($58.25) per cigar and 1175 Swiss francs ($1,456.16) for a box of 25 cigars. In addition, a representative for Pacific Cigar Co.—the distributor of Cuban cigars in more than 30 countries across Asia and Oceania—confirmed that the cigar is slowly making its way to store shelves in the region.

The H. Upmann Magnum Finite EL 2024 is the last of the Edición Limitada cigars to go on sale. The Ramón Allones Absolutos was released in April, the Trinidad Cablidos was released last July, albeit only in Premier Edition five-count boxes so far.

While never publicly announced as such, all three cigars were originally selected to be the 2022 Edición Limitada cigars, though Cuban cigar distributors were informed they would instead be 2023 Edición Limitada releases. However, that didn’t happen and the cigars became 2024 releases that were formally announced last February.

Edición Limitada cigars are a new size for a particular brand, one that might not be a new Cuban cigar size, but one that hasn’t been sold as part of that particular brand before. As the name would imply, the cigars are offered in limited quantities, though production numbers are rarely disclosed. The blends feature tobacco from the Vuelta Abajo region of Pinar del Rio that has been aged for a minimum of two years. Additionally, they get a secondary band that reads “Edición Limitada” and the year they were announced.

In most years, Habanos S.A. releases three new Edición Limitada cigars, though for 2025 there are only two that are formally part of the program: the Montecristo Elba Edición and Punch Princesas. While not banded as an Edición Limitada, the Romeo y Julieta Amantes—which celebrates the 150th anniversary of the brand—is the de facto third cigar. The last time Habanos S.A. released only two Edición Limitada cigars was in 2015, when the Montecristo 80 Aniversario served as the de facto third. None of these cigars have been released yet.

I love me some Upmann, but this cigar doesn't move the needle for me. Maybe one day if I have the chance to acquire some singles I'd give it a try. Otherwise...meh.
