I read this earlier today. Hopefully one day we can have a better relationship with Cuba. And be able to walk in to a local cigar lounge and buy a CC.

Tighter restrictions were expected with Rubio as Sec of State. I'm amazed it took this long and is not as strict as it is.

Of the 2.2 million visitors last year, I wonder how many were US citizens.

AI says about 140K Americans went to Cuba last year.

Aside from these tighter restrictions discouraging Americans to travel there, what feasible reason should somebody from the US go there? Cheap cigars were the biggest pull factor. That is gone. Food is not that good, and scarce. The island is low on types of fuel, power outages, the list goes on. There are so many better places. Bahamas, Barbados, Aruba, and many more destinations that do not have the dysfunction of Cuba. Take a stash of your favorite cigars with you and enjoy.

I thought a lot of people (guys) went to Cuba for prostitution. Illicit sex trade.

Well, they’re still cheaper than anywhere else in the world. You can also get nice custom or farm rolls. Last December a LCDH roller charged me $5 for a corona, $7 for a robusto, and $10 for a torpedo. Not cheap as it used to be but still affordable.

I have seen a lot of anglers there from the U.S.

Bonefishing is some of the best in the world. Have enjoyed it many times over the years.

Ain't it funny how I see those farm rolls prices and think "dang, what a deal" 😂😂 Are they usually pretty good quality smokes?

Won't be as good or affordable as Cuba.

What a joke. Was reading an article about this yesterday. Absolutely ridiculous that more sanctions are being imposed on Cuba. Just my opinion.

If anything, they should at minimum relax the embargo again. That way it would expose some of the Cuban government's mismanagement and prove that their embargo excuse isn't the reason for their troubles like they say it is.

That was proven long ago. Cuba's government is the textbook example for schools worldwide of mismanagement & corruption.

Many Cubans in South Florida already see know the corruption of the government, hence why they left in the first place.

Oh 100%, I just meant in the sense of reinforcing the point, like "alright, they keep saying their problems are due to our embargo, so watch this".

I never really understood, one of the most beautiful islands and beaches, yet Americans cannot visit freely or without some political headache.

Truly a shame for many not to witness.
