Zonum Posted Wednesday at 04:06 AM Posted Wednesday at 04:06 AM I read this earlier today. Hopefully one day we can have a better relationship with Cuba. And be able to walk in to a local cigar lounge and buy a CC. 1
BrightonCorgi Posted Wednesday at 01:00 PM Posted Wednesday at 01:00 PM Tighter restrictions were expected with Rubio as Sec of State. I'm amazed it took this long and is not as strict as it is. 2
Dlowil Posted Wednesday at 07:15 PM Posted Wednesday at 07:15 PM Of the 2.2 million visitors last year, I wonder how many were US citizens. 1

SCgarman Posted Wednesday at 07:50 PM Posted Wednesday at 07:50 PM Aside from these tighter restrictions discouraging Americans to travel there, what feasible reason should somebody from the US go there? Cheap cigars were the biggest pull factor. That is gone. Food is not that good, and scarce. The island is low on types of fuel, power outages, the list goes on. There are so many better places. Bahamas, Barbados, Aruba, and many more destinations that do not have the dysfunction of Cuba. Take a stash of your favorite cigars with you and enjoy.

Well, they’re still cheaper than anywhere else in the world. You can also get nice custom or farm rolls. Last December a LCDH roller charged me $5 for a corona, $7 for a robusto, and $10 for a torpedo. Not cheap as it used to be but still affordable.

Ain't it funny how I see those farm rolls prices and think "dang, what a deal" 😂😂 Are they usually pretty good quality smokes?

CigarCulture09 Posted Thursday at 03:14 AM Posted Thursday at 03:14 AM What a joke. Was reading an article about this yesterday. Absolutely ridiculous that more sanctions are being imposed on Cuba. Just my opinion.
JPark3 Posted Thursday at 03:27 AM Posted Thursday at 03:27 AM If anything, they should at minimum relax the embargo again. That way it would expose some of the Cuban government's mismanagement and prove that their embargo excuse isn't the reason for their troubles like they say it is.

Cuba's government is the textbook example for schools worldwide of mismanagement & corruption.

Many Cubans in South Florida already see know the corruption of the government, hence why they left in the first place.

Oh 100%, I just meant in the sense of reinforcing the point, like "alright, they keep saying their problems are due to our embargo, so watch this".
JavierCorona Posted Thursday at 05:58 PM Posted Thursday at 05:58 PM I never really understood, one of the most beautiful islands and beaches, yet Americans cannot visit freely or without some political headache. Truly a shame for many not to witness. 1
