Hello FOH’ers - I am wondering if anyone can give me some pointers on using the onlinehumidor webpage? I understand that time between registration and activation of an account can take a while since it is a one man operation. When I currently go to the site there is no option to register (which I have previously) or login. Is the webpage down or is there a different landing page that I need to seek out to login once my account is approved?

I've recovered the site with all the old data on a private server. Wade and I are working through next steps now.

Never used onlinehumidor, but having lived through a similar situation 10 years ago with CCW, I know what he's going through. Thoughts and prayers.

In the works now to get the site back up evidently...

Yeah I've heard of it taking months for some folks to get approval. Some never get approval it seems. And things have been spotty for a while during the upgrade. A long wait is probably in your future.

I know the site is currently down. Does anyone here have any additional insight into this outage? I've seen it go down before but not really for this long.

I doubt anyone knows but Wade. His site is so damn frustrating.

I've never seen it down for this long. I wouldn't be surprised if he just let it go. There's not a ton of selling or trading any longer. Between Facebook groups and Bond Roberts, it's kind of obsolete. I would be sad to see it go...

I sure hope not. I love the place, to be honest. I've spent a lot of time on those pages. I even love the retro vibe of the site but I don't feel good about this either. I emailed Wade and he said he would look into it but not much beyond that, pretty vague.

I'd be bummed if this was the end of the site. I like the fact that it hasn't been updated in 15 some odd years. It's simple.

With that being said, it can be incredibly frustrating when trying to share photos with folks.

I don’t mind the main site as it is functional. The PM system on the other hand is a disaster.

Without a doubt it is the worst PM system I've ever had to use.

I wonder if anyone has a contact for Wade, it may be worth reaching out to him to see what his plans are for the future of the site.

This is the best idea. With a minor tweak here and there OLH could be a going concern for years to come. It has a loyal following and offers something unique. BR & FB are different animals entirely. Not to mention many of the old school don’t even have FB.

Agree 100%. I've met some of the coolest, most generous BOTLs through the site. Some that I can only converse with via telephone cause they don't text or use the PM system. Great people who were apart of the Cigar Family days and now are probably only active on that site alone.

Not sure if this email is current but you might try to contact him at:

*Please PM member for the email address*

Now I am getting a different message from this morning, "Server Error", under construction or that the sight might have reached its capacities. John

I joined Cigar Family back in 2007. I missed the hay day but that's how I stumbled upon OLH. Crazily generous members who wanted to share their enthusiasm of our hobby. A lot of the grifters and charlatans who were booted off CF made their way to OLH but that was the only downside.

Still have no clue how to post a photo over there, lol.

Getting more concerned by the day. I reference my messages on OLH quite a bit to find some box codes of things I’ve acquired, which I may not have written down at the time. Or, to remind myself who sent me something, if I didn’t write it down before. Also have some memorable chats back and forth with some great gentlemen on there, and would hate to lose those messages. Good chats about good cigars. Really hoping it’s back up in the coming days.

I’ve never even heard of this site and now I feel like I’ve been missing out!

Yep, long time member of OLH, I met Wade back in the late 90s I believe. I was a member of Cigar Family and when that side died I ended up on OLH. Used to be a great place to trade cigars or buy stuff from other brothers. There are a few people there that I traded with regularly. Last year or maybe 2 years now when the site went down Wade got it back up and I know a few members including myself send him some money to help pay to update the site. I hope that this is what's happening and not that the site is dead because that would really suck.

I tried to get in months ago, I think I was able to register somehow but I don't think I ever got approval and just stopped checking. I'll reach out and offer Wade some help.

Have to say I’m gettin the DTs over here. This might be the longest I’ve been without OLH in 20 years.
