So who do you think represent the best Regional Edition Series?

I have not doubt that Edición Regional Italia takes 1st place, I don't think I have ever had a bad Edición Regional Italia!

Also name your favorite Edición Regional?

#1 La Escepción Don José Edición Regional Italia

#2 Ramón Allones Gladiator Edición Regional Andino B.P.E.

#3 Sancho Panza Eslavo Edición Regional Serbia

I’ve seen pretty consistent results from anything from the Belux, Benelux or Paises Bajos regions.

No love for Selectos Finos (La Escepcion RE Italia)? Very difficult question, in no particular order:

  • Any of the Edmundo Dantes RE Mexico (Conde)
  • ERDM LA Reina
  • Bolivar Británicas RE Gran Bretaña
  • La Escepcion Selector Finos RE Italia
  • Ramon Allones Celestiales Finos RE Asia Pacífico

I may name maybe 10 I really liked

Jose

The RA Private Stock 230 was hands down the BEST cigar I've ever had. I only had one, but my god it was euphoric.

Unpopular opinion, I like the Edmundo Dantes Conde Belicoso over the Conde 54/109.

And I'm gonna regret saying it because they are still some what affordable in today's market, the Sancho Panza OMHPOΣ Edición Regional Grecia y Chipre are smoking out of this world. I've gone through 3 boxes and always on the look out for more.

Agree with all of the above (except I’ve missed a couple of the newer ones).

The La Escepcíon was hands down my best ever cigar, until a friend shared some highly unusual customs.  Nonetheless, the La Escepcíon will always hold a special place in my memory.

Its hard to ask that because no one can try them all without spending a lot of money, but I will say what I tried and what is best (the top one in the list is the best).

  • Ramon Allones Phoenicia 40
  • Diplomaticos Grandes
  • Juan Lopez Hat Trick
  • Ramon Allones Private Stock 230
  • Juan Lopez Adon
  • Diplomaticos El Emisario Swiss Regional
  • Quai d'Orsay Sélection Royale Swiss Regional - box of 50
  • La Gloria Cubana Medaille D'Or Especial Belux
  • Juan Lopez Dragones - its good
  • Sancho Panza Gran Quixote Belux (it is horrible).

Thanks to your generosity, I've managed to have a few Italian RE's and I must say the La Escepcion and Punch were fantastic. Loved the fomat, nice change of pace from the bigger RG's Cuba is leaning towards.

Have yet to try the La Escepcion Regionals. I know when they do come up people fork over good money for 'em and they go quick; usually that a pretty good sign. For me the Regionals that stand out are:

  • Bolivar Simones RE Canada Easily tops for me. Unlike any other Bolivar I've ever had. Such a good under appreciated cigar
  • ERDM Tainos RE Formosa. Continue to age well imo, despite not being a ball tearer in strength
  • PL Encantos RE Asia Pacific. First one I had was a tent peg, the two others I've had were amazing.

I never understood that love for the Italian Editions. I never had one that appealed to me in anyways. I was lucky to smoke enough of them to confirm I don't like 'em much.

  • Juan Lopez Éminentes RE Suiza
  • Bolivar Legendarios RE Suiza
  • Bolivar Poderosos RE Allemania

This is easy for top 3, rest… a bit challenging.

1.) PL Magnificos

2.) PL Lonsdales

3.) La Escepcion Selctos Finos

4-6–. Edmundo Dantes 109, Bushidos, Edmundo Dantes Conde 54

Your mileage may vary, but these are my favorites.

Surprised nobody has mentioned the El Rey Del Mundo - La Reina.

The definition of a 'meh' smoke to me. Was not impressed in anyway. I think its riding the "Lancero for H&K" hype train.

I agree, this cigar wasn’t rolled right or something. Sorry for those of you trying to let them go, but I smoked 5-7 of them and they were all very "meh".

There’s been some great REs but the majority in my experience have been lackluster. Good example of a subpar one I smoked today. RA Petite Belicoso.
