El Presidente Posted January 16 Posted January 16 I have $100 on this one. Questions have been approved by the other side. I have submitted my answers to 4 questions as to where the poll will finish. 1
Chibearsv Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Sort of tough for me since I've got examples of all that I really enjoy and examples of all that aren't as enjoyable. So my answer is very broad based. I knew which Marca would be voted most poorly and I'm always amazed at the hate it seems to receive since I'm a fan for the most part. 2
BrightonCorgi Posted January 16 Posted January 16 I love Cohiba, but don't smoke them frequently enough to really qualify them as gravitating towards. I guess I'd more of them if I did. 1
Ford2112 Posted January 16 Posted January 16 I'm a Partagas guy. Punch would be if they hadn't discontinued all their vitolas. I think I struggle with RyJ due to inconsistency, and Hoyo isn't my favorite. But I like something from every brand if the mood strikes. 4

When the rosado gods align, they can be wonderfully aromatic, exotic and incredibly complex. However 99% of the rest of the time they are a sour, woody, muddled mess. 3
riderpride Posted January 17 Posted January 17 I was only to get one each but: Gravitates toward H Upmann and Hoyo with Punch just a hair behind. Struggle with Ramon Allones. I'm glad they're loved, but I don't get it. I love all the flavors they're described as, but the math ain't mathin' on these. Cheers 1
Li Bai Posted January 17 Posted January 17 Partagas and Bolivar I love, but I also love Upmann, Ramon Allones, Quai d'Orsay. I don't understand RyJ like many of you, it seems, but the Cazadores is among my favourite CCs, va comprendre (I guess you'd say "go figure")... 3
99call Posted January 17 Posted January 17 Surprised by strong negative feeling to QDO. One of the most approachable, easy going, sweet, blends out there. 3
Arabian Posted January 17 Posted January 17 I could survive on QDO only. Creamy, citrusy and great for every occasion. Love 'em. 1

DeeBeezy Posted January 17 Posted January 17 I love every marque of Cuban cigars - RyJ is one I really don’t get, doesn’t excite me, doesn’t do it for me. 1
gormag38 Posted January 17 Posted January 17 Upmann is almost a given for most of us it seems. Such great selections with a wide array of strengths/flavors. I selected Cohiba for my second choice even though I don't smoke nearly as many anymore. I really enjoy the classic and siglo lines. Hell even occasionally the Mad5 line if I'm feeling like a cocoa/coffee bomb. QDO and Party would've been my next two. As for the two I struggle with, RyJ and RA. I've never gotten RyJ. Whoever described it as a muddled mess is spot on imo. As for RA, I'm part of the cohort who just never really has gotten it. Gigantes are the best of the line. RASS has been such a miss for me the times I've tried. Best one I had was my last however, from a 50 cab 2023. Another BOTL who felt similar to RA as me said it converted him. It was okay but give me a HURR or Mag54 any day over it. 2
Deeg Posted January 17 Posted January 17 Too many Punch are peanut-driven for me. My palate just doesn’t want to go there.
Habanoschris Posted January 17 Posted January 17 Hard to choose top two: RA, Partagas, HDM, RyJ, Monte, Upmann and more. Honestly, Palate struggles with Quai d'Orsay - had one or two that were pretty decent young, aged a couple boxes of 50 & 54 out and got nothing from them. Definitely no ginger, citrus or honey sweetness etc. I've heard about - Maybe just wrong boxes 🤷🏻 7 hours ago, gormag38 said: As for RA, I'm part of the cohort who just never really has gotten it. So funny how this works differently for different palates & different boxes. There are several boxes I'll never forget & one happens to be 25 RASS from 2018, smoked young! Punched in face with chewy dried fruit, earth, baking spice - just incredible. I'll agree RyJ can be a bit muddled but sometimes a nice cherry or understated rose water etc I don't mind altogether. 1
Gubbins Posted January 17 Posted January 17 Pretty much as expected imo: Cohiba, Partagas and Upmann. With RyJ, QD and Hoyo at the back. Hoyo being the one I am more surprised others agree with. I just don't think the blend has enough character to justify the price, despite being delicious. Although I haven't tried some of their pricier sticks, so that could have something to do with it.

X2 If you had asked me a year ago I would have voted for QdO. in the summer I found pleasure in QdO CC. RyJ & Bolivar, never bounded to them. Maybe it’s like Fernet Branca or Negroni, you love or you hate it, nothing in between. My pleasure in Cuban cigars are: Trinidad, RA, MC, Partagas, H.Upmann & axed LGC.
BrightonCorgi Posted January 17 Posted January 17 Bolivar has become a sad shell of its former self. 1
