JohnS Posted October 12, 2024 Posted October 12, 2024 The Cohiba Esplendidos Gran Reserva Cosecha 2017 was first announced in February 2023. Over eighteen months later, it's going on sale in Switzerland. You may be interested if you have over $US9000 to spare. Cohiba Gran Reserva Selling For More Than $600 Cohiba Espléndidos Gran Reserva Cosecha 2017 Coming To Switzerland In 11 Days Oct 11, 2024 - By David Savona No Cuban cigar commands more attention than a Cohiba, and in 11 days the Cohiba Espléndidos Gran Reserva Cosecha 2017 will go on sale in Switzerland with an extremely high price tag of 534 Swiss francs, which translates to $623. In terms of cigars, it’s about as expensive as they get. The cigars come in boxes of 15, and the box price for a full box in Swiss markets will be 8,010 Swiss francs, or $US9,300 a box. October 22 is the official launch date for Swiss Casa del Habano stores, followed by a release on October 29th at Swiss Habanos Specialist stores. The cigars have been seen in Germany already, and there are talks that they have arrived—or will arrive soon—in other European markets as well. Cuba’s Gran Reservas are intended to be special versions of Cuban cigars. Previous incarnations include Montecristo No. 2, Partagás Lusitania and Hoyo de Monterrey Double Corona. For this Cohiba Gran Reserva, Cuba says it used only five-year-old leaves. The release is limited to 5,000 boxes, each one individually numbered. BrightonCorgi Posted October 13, 2024 Posted October 13, 2024 I wonder if they'll be sale at the same exclusive bar as Fake Cohiba Cigars Uncovered at Popular Zurich Banker Hangout 2

MrBirdman Posted October 13, 2024 Posted October 13, 2024 I’d probably try get one for some future reason to celebrate if I could find anywhere that sold singles. I’m sure there are people on Reddit, maybe even lurking here, who “already bought 10 boxes.” 🙄 Have we seen one on BR yet? Can’t remember if the 3-year rule still applies to Cohiba or LEs. 1
gormag38 Posted October 13, 2024 Posted October 13, 2024 Man I just couldn’t imagine spending coin like that on a single cigar. I’m sure the fakes will be rampant with this cigar. 3

El Presidente Posted October 15, 2024 Posted October 15, 2024 Answer: a conga line of buyers. There is literally a retail customer fight to secure these worldwide. On that basis, would they be condisered underpriced? No.....these are not meant for the "average joe" cigar lover who enjoys his D4 and occasional MOFOH Trinity Robusto Cohiba Espléndidos Gran Reserva cosecha 2017 https://www.cigarjournal.com/cohiba-esplendidos-gran-reserva-cosecha-2017/ 2
RDB Posted October 15, 2024 Posted October 15, 2024 Hey, I’d love to try one. But I’m sure there’s more variation between different boxes of Espys than between these and the average regular production stick. If money is no issue at all, then have at it. 2
HailState Posted November 23, 2024 Posted November 23, 2024 Saw a vendor today with these listed for over $15,000 USD a box. Over $1,000 USD per cigar. Wild times.
ha_banos Posted November 24, 2024 Posted November 24, 2024 Even after this bull run it will be a no from me.

In one of Habano News latest videos he commented that he was at a shop in Cuba and a Chinese customer was there buying up all the Siglo Oro boxes and spent $160,000. Probably recouped that money before the end of the day.
SigmundChurchill Posted November 24, 2024 Posted November 24, 2024 I see a 24:24 clearance opportunity. 1
