Hyun G Shin Posted May 16, 2024 Posted May 16, 2024 Hi I just have a one question. I see this a lot from 24:24 and I don’t get this. “Dry box if you are going to smoke them young.” Is this a joke that I’m not getting? Who likes a young cigar? Just curious.
Popular Post NSXCIGAR Posted May 16, 2024 Popular Post Posted May 16, 2024 Some fresh cigars smoke better when they're drier. No hidden meaning. 6

Young cigars can be wild, temperamental, underperforming. But they can also have vivid highs and full of character and verve. Many experienced smokers will want to simply gauge a box's potential by trying a cigar young. However. if that first cigar is a 100 pointer. Then age or no age...the owner is faced with the question. Will these cigars get any better or are they as good as they will get? Cuban cigars are much better behaving than they have ever been. They are ready very quickly, and in many ways the concern is weighted much more greatly as the whether they have significant legs beyond 10yrs. As opposed to the question are they ready to smoke after 60 days. 8 1
SUP8333 Posted May 16, 2024 Posted May 16, 2024 I can never hold back on a new box... so I dry box that one stick 🤣 1
Popular Post Chibearsv Posted May 16, 2024 Popular Post Posted May 16, 2024 Mmmm. Fresh Cazzies. 🤤 They have bite and brightness. I love them, and the smell from opening the foil for the first time is amazing. They’re great with age too but, not the same experience. 6

teamrandr Posted May 17, 2024 Posted May 17, 2024 You might be surprised at whats smoking really well now. You will also never find out if you don't give it a whirl.

Reuben Posted May 20, 2024 Posted May 20, 2024 Sometimes I feel that I am able to taste a lot more of the tasting characteristics early than I do after ageing a few years. For instance, the most caramel flavor I have ever tasted from a PLCP comes from fresh ones. My aged boxes of PLPC have yet deliver as intense a caramel flavor as I've experienced with some fresher ones for some reason. Or it's in my head...which is quite possible.
BoliDan Posted May 20, 2024 Posted May 20, 2024 Definitely need to dry box new cigars. Cigars that acclimated to your humidor don't need this, and I think this is a 9 month minimum, but that is probably a hot take with a lot of members. I love all my cigars over a year old. I hate all my cigars when i just get them in the mail.
