Are there cigars that when you smoke them there’s always something you think about?

I can’t light a Siglo III now without thinking of the cigar Rob was was smoking when he decided to go into the cigar business. Of course I have better stories..........

• Unpacked - a good story is like a well-packed cigar, it should be unpacked / smoked in good company
• Chewing the Smoke - like chewing the fat… except smoke
• Between Puffs - well we tend to speak and chat between puffs, don’t we?
• RetroTales - given this is somewhat of a retrospective in asking members about their story and experiences

I've been curious about what happens after people participate in blind tasting competitions. I have not, myself.  But I'd like to hear:

- Have you ever participated in a blind tasting competition?

- If so, how did you do?

- What was your reaction to the results?

- Did you change any of your smoking/purchasing decisions based on the results?

I participated in the 2021 FOH blind tasting competition.

I won 1st place. 🙂

Results came in week by week over the course of 5 weeks so it wasn't a huge surprise. But I was still thrilled to win. @Nevrknow and I were very close all the way to the end.

I think it had the opposite effect on my smoking going forward, as I just try to relax instead of trying to pick up flavour notes all the time.

I think this is a brilliant idea Rob! And personally I'd be interested in hearing a couple of non-cigar related questions as well as the cigar related questions to learn about each individual.
