The season is a long one, full of peaks and troughs (or valleys). Let's see where the Red Sox are around the mid-point...which is traditionally around the All-Star Game in July. I'm excited for T

There's been some amazing Postseason baseball so far. Look forward to all the games tomorrow!

One of the best 'Game 1' of the World Series one is ever likely to see. A walk-off home run by Freddie Freeman, albeit playing through pain on an injured leg? It couldn't happen to a nicer guy...if not the nicest guy in baseball! If anything could eclipse Kirk Gibson's Game 1 walk-off home run in 1988, this would be it. If the Dodgers go on to take three more games in this series, then this will certainly better Gibson's improbable at-bat.

I fear for the Yankees. The Dodgers look poised.

I think the Yanks are toast. Unless they can get to the pen because Yamamoto was dealing.

I'm hoping Ohtani is not seriously injured on that slide into second.

What a game. Not over yet…we need to take this thing across the country and keep grinding. This is what the WS was built for. LAD/NYY. No offense to all you others out there, but this is baseball royalty duking it out. As it should be perennially.

That's true. Yes, there's never been so many MVPs (and this future Half of Famers) playing in a World Series contest...ever!

In regard to the present scoreline, even though Blake Treinen was keeping the Yankees in the game in the 9th innings (his pitching performance today was no doubt due to overwork and fatigue from Game 1), the Dodgers had this Game 2 under complete control.

The Yankees will need to channel their 1996 counterparts to comeback (who were similarly 2-0 down before winning four in a row against a very strong Atlanta Braves team that year). It will take some doing, but it can be done.

The Yankees buy championships and now the Dodgers are the Yankees of the west. They aren't baseball Royalty. They are a product of a salary cap not being adhered to and the deferment of Ohtani's salary is a black eye on baseball. But they're good guys...

The latest news is that Shohei Ohtani is expected to play in Game 3, despite hurting his shoulder.

Ohtani 'in a great spot,' set to play in Game 3 (report)

Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani, who sustained a left shoulder subluxation in Game 2 of the World Series on Saturday, is "in a great spot" and will play in Game 3 on Monday, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told ESPN on Sunday. The team has made no official announcement.

Ohtani suffered the shoulder subluxation, which is a partial dislocation, when he landed awkwardly on his left arm during a stolen base attempt that ended the seventh inning of the Dodger's 4-2 win in Game 2. He immediately signaled for a timeout to the second-base umpire and walked off the field with the training staff while holding his left arm gingerly.

Ohtani left the stadium almost immediately after the game and didn’t provide any updates on his injury, but Roberts said Saturday night that the team was encouraged by Ohtani's strength and range of motion in the clubhouse postgame. Ohtani was scheduled to have an MRI on Sunday before flying out to New York.

Ohtani is presumably on his way to his third Most Valuable Player Award after becoming the first player to hit 50 homers and steal 50 bases in a season. The Japanese superstar has also shined in the postseason, hitting a three-run homer in his first career playoff game against the Padres.

Ohtani is just 1-for-8 in the Fall Classic through two games, but he scored the game-tying run in the eighth inning in the Game 1 win. His presence in the lineup is something that can’t be overstated for a Dodgers team looking to take a 3-0 World Series lead on Monday in the Bronx.

Dominant showing by the Dodgers. It's looking like a sweep.

Most likely, going by past postseason series with teams having a 3-0 lead. I do know there's a 2-3% chance of seeing a Game 7 from here.

Aaron Judge is just the same player in the playoffs.  Once a choker, always a choker.  Pretty Sad

Credit to the Los Angeles Dodgers Analytics department for telling their pitchers where to pitch to him in induce weak contact in his hitting. Secondly, further credit must go to the Dodger pitchers to execute that planning.

My friend Tammy said the reason the Dodgers are winning is due to no Kershaw.

Really? So LA Dodgers win the 2024 World Series (highly likely after being up 3-0) and then they turn and tell Clayton Kershaw please look elsewhere for 2025? If that happens, expect Kershaw to announce his retirement, in my opinion.

According to the commentators, Judge is too lengthy to be a baseball player, as he couldn't hit anything under the strike zone. When you are choking like Judge one should expect to hear funny comments.

Well, the NY Yankees staved off defeat yesterday in Game 4. Anthony Volpe had a game one can only dream about, but for me, the walks and aggressive baserunning led to the pressure that ultimately saw the Yankees breakthrough to score runs.

As for Game 5, I think that Gerrit Cole will be difficult to hit off, judging by his Game 1 performance and his postseason thus far, and therefore I wouldn't be surprised if the Yankees actually take Game 5.

Winning in LA is another thing altogether though, in my view, from here. Let's take it one game at a time, as they say.

Can anyone imagine George Steinbrenner being alive to witness Game 5? I mean, the Yankees were up 5-0 in the 5th inning, with Gerrit Cole pitching a gem, when the defensive errors started and it became embarrassing to watch. All credit to the Dodgers for closing it out and making the most of their opportunities.

I really wanted a Game 6, but it wasn't to be (but it should have)!
