ChangBang Posted February 29, 2024 Posted February 29, 2024 Easy mode! This is a Hermosos No.4 cigar from 2020, not too many Hermosos no.4's left so you have like 5 choices! A little bit plugged but a decent looking cigar. Probably should have hit it with the perfecdraw but the wrapper was delicate and I may have dry-boxed it a day too long. 1. Starts of very creamy. In both smoke texture as well as a vanilla cream flavor. There is a wood in the background. Lets say it's 90/10 cream to wood. As the cigar progresses, the wood is creeping up in strength. By the end of the third, its 60/40 cream to wood. 2. Not a whole lot more to report except the wood note is starting to take over. Unfortunately, a bitter note develops as the wood gets stronger and stronger. By the end of the third its 10% cream, 80% wood, and 10% bitter 3. Gave it an ash, purge, and relight and luckily the cigar reset! 95% cream to 5% wood. I'm not sure if the cream is stronger than in the beginning of the cigar, but after struggling through the 2/3rd the cream is very powerful and pops! The wood kind of built up a little bit more but still a very cream dominated last 3rd. Ends at maybe 80/20 cream to wood Overall - 4/10 - below average. It was hard to get through the 2/3rd and if it wasn't for the review, I probably would have chucked it when the bitter flavors started to come through. The draw might have played a role as I had to relight a few times. But man...that initial opening and the last third were really good! Hoping with another year or so, the cream will dominate the entire cigar! 2
Havanaaddict Posted February 29, 2024 Posted February 29, 2024 I am thinking H. Upmann Connoisseur No.1
RDB Posted February 29, 2024 Posted February 29, 2024 Connie 1, the most ‘neutral’ of the five options.
ChangBang Posted February 29, 2024 Author Posted February 29, 2024 Erdm choix Supreme. One of the worst examples I've had but did get that vanilla cream flavor that they're known for. 2
