Popular Post eaglebear29 Posted February 26, 2024 Popular Post Posted February 26, 2024 Cross cut on this robusto giving it a good draw. Has been kept at 63%/63F. Im guessing around a year old on this CC. Musty barnyard on the cold draw, w/ subtle notes of honey. The smell reminds me of a wet mossy forest after a nice rain. Where the whole forest smells fresh and watered and alive. Subtle notes of honey. Light up Creamy graham cracker. Low smoke output off the bat. First 3rd No harsh edges. Just creamy graham cracker staying consistent. Smoke output has built a little still medium to medium low. End of first 3rd, there’s very subtle notes of floral and honey sweetness w/ creamy graham cracker being the main tone. Smoke output has built up a little to medium. Light flavor to light to medium strength. Second 3rd Built to medium strength. The honey in the graham cracker is trying to shine more. End of second 3rd, smoke output has built when I corrected the wonky wrapper burn. Medium to medium-full strength. Ash then just fell after wrapper correction. Final 3rd Great cigar for being the “bad one out of the bunch“. I’m guessing these are about a year old, so with time they will shine. Great creamy, graham cracker flavor. Lots of smoke now. Medium to medium-full strength. Nub and Toothpick stage. Nub: Cream is now the main tone, with graham cracker being second. A woodiness is trying to come through. and its more on the Full side of strength and flavor. Surprisingly no harshness, and it seemed I had to smoke this one quicker that usual to keep it lit since its 25F outside. Toothpick: The main flavor is wood, secondary is cream. Still has great full flavor. Wish I had a pipe to throw it in as its not harsh at all. Another reminder why I love CC's. Overall this was my "bad wrapper" CC, and I smoke these ones first, saving the best for last. That being said, this was great cigar w/ flavor. Has potential for being only a year old too. Only issues were low smoke output right out the gate, but it soon picked up nicely, especially when I corrected the burn/wrapper issues, then it smoked wonderfully. 90/100 would've scored a couple points higher, if not for the corrections and low smoke output. It recovered points for being so good in the nub and toothpick stage. 11
