The only thing not real are the cigar themselves unfortunately! 😑

One thing that El Pres has 'harped on', in a positive way of course, over the years in his many, many inspections of Habanos cigars is the quality of wrappers and the 'sheen'. Those wrappers are ordinary in every sense of the word.

By contrast, compare the wrappers on this ten-year old box of Partagas Serie D No.4 acquired from our host, which I 'cracked open' this week...

Those wrappers do look mighty suspect. So do the caps. 

 

I can only pick 4 plugged cigars from the rolls/bunching. .........two are missing to be a genuine box of Habanos

The caps and wrappers look off. I also feel like placement of the band is also way off--I get bands slide, but those are uniformly too low.

The font and spacing of the numbers on the serial code actually look off to me as well.

John, you haven't taken into account that these are not just Cohiba Robustos, they are the special Dunhill Davidoff Cohiba!

I've seen that thinner-looking font and wider spacing on legitimate boxes. There does appear to be some acceptable variation in that particularly in 20-21. 

The UV seal checks, the bands check and the box code checks and is chronologically consistent with the serial. Most likely it is a refilled legit box with rebanded sticks. A high-end box by today's standards would have much better looking and constructed cigars.

Looks like real box was used and they refilled it. Band placement looks too low, the feet look very inconsistent, and wrapper quality off. Reason why it’s priced low…to get a sucker to think he’s getting a good deal.
