Popular Post HarveyBoulevard Posted September 2, 2023 Popular Post Posted September 2, 2023 I purchased SiriusXM for the sole purpose of getting Margaritaville radio. Been on my truck steady for as long as I can remember. I don’t recall the last time I changed the station… 5
MooseAMuffin Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 Grew up listening to him with my dad. Brought me alot of joy and memories. 1
SCgarman Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 We have a Margaritaville restaurant here in Myrtle Beach up in the touristy area. He certainly built a huge empire from nothing. Another American rags to riches story. 2
KCCubano Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 Saw him live a few times. Always a fun show. 1
Islandboy Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 College in the early 80’s was a bit of a blur from me...when we weren’t blasting ACDC, we had JB keeping it real. I’m a huge fan of his philosophies for life. RIP. 1
Fireball Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 I was at a multi day musical festival one year and they announced on Friday that Buffett would be playing Saturday at noon. It was a lot of fun. His music just sets me in vacation mode. 1
Popular Post Fosgate Posted September 3, 2023 Popular Post Posted September 3, 2023 Seems like yesterday. Met him once when I was a kid between 10-12 (I’m 50 now) with my father and uncle. Super nice guy and I remember him just kind of stopping everyone for a minute or two and talked to me on my level, totally respectful. He noticed everyone had a drink in their hand but me and it was hot out. He flagged a vendor over had them give me a pineapple drink “non alcoholic”. We hung out in the area for awhile longer which the vendor brought me two more and Jimmy came over when we were leaving and thanked us for coming like the gracious host he was and wished me luck in the upcoming school year. I never forgot that moment, been a fan since. R.I.P. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 6
SigmundChurchill Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 He was a local here, and was one guy that I always wanted to meet but never got a chance. Everyone I know who has met him says what a nice, down to earth guy he was. He did a lot of work for charity. He even funded the local softball team to go to Cuba for goodwill games. RIP. https://www.instagram.com/p/CwsYp02AoXh/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== 2
