RASS 2015 (RRW)

So. RASS. 2015. Post breakfast smoke with coffee, black, filtered. Coming off a Club Allones steered me to this, this morning. Let's go.

Cigar had a slightly mottled wrapper. Not quite so firm to the touch. But not SpongeBob. Had a nice aroma to it though. A teeny sweetness to it that I look for. I was giving it a good eyeball though. A bit suspicious. Sliced the cap. Sniff through the foot again gives a familiar cubanesquence. Yeah so I think I just made a word. I give you that for free.

My inspection took the better of me and i realised I started toasting the cut cap! Oh mother of pearl! What a doof! Ok. Ok. Well see what I've done in a minute...

Look the sun was beating down and I was closely inspecting... Thanks.

So onto lighting the right end... Usual ceremony. No puffing, until toasted. Purge, light, draw, let the flame die. Purge. Two puffs. Hmm. Bit of a loose draw. Quite smooth. Nice aroma. Dilute. Retrohale. Ow. Ok out the mouth. Dilute more.

The burn left the ash looking like the unfinished death Star. Slightly underfilled.

Anyway! How did it smoke? Ok! There was a slight sharpness there. A slight sweetness. It's for sure no club Allones, but nice enough. Plenty smoke. But did go out a fair bit. This went on throughout.

Flavor wise, pleasant. Not dry. Not astringent. Very gentle bitter sweet. Not that plain tobacco.

Pretty samey throughout. With a building intensity at the last third. So all in all not a bad cigar. But the relights and the slight harsh retrohale loses a few points. Still a fan. 93.
