Duxnutz Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 Spreading the wings on what’s prob one of the longest domestic flights in the States. Yep Never been to Boston, have two days. What should I see? Any good place to have a cigar.?
gormag38 Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 There's an awesome bar that's behind the green monster at Fenway that lets you see right onto the field; not sure what their hours are during spring training but it's quite a unique place. Otherwise if museums are more your thing the Isabella Gardner Stewart Art Museum is pretty cool. As is Harvard's museum of natural history and their anatomical museum if you find yourself out in Cambridge area. As for a lounge; I'm sure Harvard square or downtown Boston would have something. Good luck and have fun! 1
joeypots Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 You going to be there on the 17th? St. Patricks day is a moderately big deal in Boston. Corn beef and cabbage and a pint or two are de rigueur. 1 1
BrightonCorgi Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 Stanza Cigar Bar in the North End is a must stop if you want to have a cigar. Eataly in Back Bay is really fun and terrific food. Both are in areas with plenty to see walking around. Boston's Chinatown has plenty good places to eat. 1 1
Dr vonPuffenberg Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 If you don’t mind a walk, the Freedom Trail was very interesting and free. You can pick up free map guides all over the place. There’s a bar along the way called the Green Dragon where apparently the founding fathers had a few pints while planning the revolution. If you do the trail and want to climb the tower at Bunker Hill, be warned, it’s VERY tight in there and you have to be in good shape to get to the top. No where to rest along the way. 1
Chas.Alpha Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 There used to be a great pub in Faneuil hall, can’t remember the name. Just go there, you’ll find something of interest... 1
patrickamory Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 Stanza dei Sigarri in the North End is a must! And so is the North End in general, for eating, sight-seeing, and general vibes. Two great old cigar shops: - L.J. Perretti near the Public Garden - Leavitt & Peirce in Harvard Square 1
