That is a large brown snake. It bites you and you have about 7 hours left  without antivenin.

A snake, frog, and pair of mice put on the ultimate display of teamwork to escape floodwater.

The smaller animals hitched a ride on the large black snake while trapped in a Queensland rainwater tank that was flooded after heavy rainfall.

Videos captured their desperate attempt to escape, along with several other frogs that tried to hop their way out of the tank.

this is a photo (from the local paper, not one i took) from the floods yesterday. 

what you have here are a couple of local mice and a green tree frog which have found themselves swept away and jumped on the nearest thing to save them. unfortunately, that thing just happens to be an eastern brown. one of the most venomous snakes on the planet and one which has frogs and mice very high on its list of preferred meals. although it may have other issues at the moment. 

i have no idea what happened.
