traveller Posted November 1, 2021 Posted November 1, 2021 Hi wondering if anyone has any experience with the Partagas Puritos? How are they? How long do they take to smoke? How do they compare to cigarillos? It's starting to get cold where I reside and is about to get much colder, and I want something that lasts 20 minutes at max.
NSXCIGAR Posted November 1, 2021 Posted November 1, 2021 Not sure what you mean by "cigarillos" but there are four sizes of small machine made Cuban ICT products that could all be considered cigarillos--Puritos, Shorts, Clubs & Minis. I find the Shorts to be the highest quality followed closely by the Puritos. The Clubs and Minis are quite small and just can't compete. I've never had Partagas Puritos but the Partagas Chicos (which are Puritos size) are outstanding and are a favorite among many of us. Not sure how they stack up to the Puritos which only came out about 5 years ago but I would be surprised if they are better. In fact, most if not all of the Puritos are excellent. The Monte Puritos and RyJ are both very good, although I find the Monte better. I've never had the Quintero Puritos and I still believe they're made. I also can't vouch for the Guantanamera version but I suspect they may be the weakest of the bunch. 2
BrightonCorgi Posted November 1, 2021 Posted November 1, 2021 Cohiba Clubs have to be strongest cigar in the portfolio. They'll put you on your ass quite easily. It's all wrapper. Great cigar you want that quick fix with a lot flavor and punch. 2
JohnnyO Posted November 1, 2021 Posted November 1, 2021 Cigarillos are small thin cigars that are between 20 RG and 29 RG, with short filler and are machine made. Cohiba/MC makes a Laguito No 3, which is a 26 RG. However, since it is long filler/hand made, it is considered a puro (cigar). Partagas Chicos is by far the most popular. Funny thing about these sized cigars is that Cuban Customs does not require a receipt from LCDH upon exiting the country. John 1

I sometimes smoke 2x Clubs in place of either a Trini Short or Cohiba Short because the flavor is far better— but I bought the 100 packs so gotta give them some attention.Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk 3
