99call Posted August 17, 2021 Posted August 17, 2021 For me there is something badly lacking with with styling of the humi/overall package..... just looks flat and drab. For that kind of money you need the whole package, and for me it just does do it.

I'm sure it's well-made but it does look a little too much like a $100 Thompson humidor. Although the H & F 225 is very lame...

Hhhmm the only thing that looks poorly thought out are the lip closure screws and the quality of the hinges. I personally really enjoyed seeing an old school un- lacquered cab, and a nod to the past. I thought the extra touches of the branded splints, a bit of thought to humidification, the colab with Hine, the tops section for singles. For me there is a lot to like. I agree it's not perfect, but Christ it's far better than a lot of crass stuff they pump out of the glitzy bling crowd 1

Chas.Alpha Posted August 17, 2021 Posted August 17, 2021 It's ironic that the odds of me ever owning that are exactly the same as winning the super lottery jackpot! 2

I have nothing against the format. Strictly look and design. And no, I don't think the originals are particularly nice either. Not Cuba's best work. The good news is if you like it you can get close at Home Depot:

I'd much prefer them over the overly glam tacky stuff dripping in lacquer and gold. 2

I'm not suggesting I prefer something more ornate per se. I'm not one for frills. But something that doesn't look like it came from IKEA would be nice. Any of these do nicely:

The others I added are much more traditional. I just need a little thought and creativity put in. The H & F looks like it was thrown together in the morning and finished by lunch. 20 hours ago, Meesterjojo said: I have no idea what's going on here, but Yoda holding a cigar in his ear is awesome. Don Alejandro was able to communicate with cigars. It is speaking and he is listening. 1
