smbauerllc Posted August 3, 2021 Posted August 3, 2021 Looking for opinions on the RyJ Coronitas En Cedros as I would like to include some pc sized smokes with my next order and they are very well priced Thanks Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
NSXCIGAR Posted August 3, 2021 Posted August 3, 2021 I find the Belvederes and Sports Largos to be the most consistent and flavorful of the small RyJs over the last 5 or so years. CeC can be all over the place in quality. RdL are pretty blah IMO. Both clearly aren't using top-tier leaf. 2
smbauerllc Posted August 3, 2021 Author Posted August 3, 2021 Good to know, thanks. Probably explains the price a bit at leastHow would you consider them in the $4 each range? Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
ReturnFreeRisk Posted August 5, 2021 Posted August 5, 2021 Worth $4. Went through a box over past few years and got much better after a couple years. Very muted standard RyJ profile of flavors, but woody dominated more so. Gave a fair amount to non hobbyist friends who came over and they all enjoyed. Would consider petite royales for small format RyJ before these, personally Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Not even in the same league as the small offerings. In fact, I think on a good day it might be the best RyJ. But they're a little pricey at $6+. If it's value you're looking for the Belvederes are the choice. I like them more than the PC or Mille Fleurs to be honest. And I might actually take them over the Cedros de Luxes. And certainly over the Romeo 1-3 which are just duty free crapola. I find a similar phenomenon with the Partagas Shorts vs. the small offerings. The Shorts is a serious cigar and head and shoulders above the cheapies. I suppose the HUHC vs. the HU tubos is the same as well. Those HU tubos are really terrible IMO. I'd pick a Romeos 1-3 over them any day, especially the appalling Coronas Minor (which was mercifully discontinued in 2019.) 1

I like the Sports Largos the best out of the small RyJs. Current ones are one of the best RyJ for me, and pretty good value. But I'm not a big half corona fan. Also current RyJ cheapies (except may 1-3) are way better than the other cheapies (Partagas, Upmann, and the few others still around).

Nothing against the Sports Largos except the Belvederes are a better value. Both are the standouts. I'm also not a big HC fan but the blend on the Petit Royales is great. Price isn't great though. I rarely buy them but I do like them. I do not like the HUHC or Monte MC blends however. And yes, I won't argue the RyJs aren't the best of the cheap & cheerfuls. The HUs are just an abomination including the Majestics, Epicures and Regalias in dress box. The Partagas aren't great but aren't terrible. No doubt if I had to choose one out of all of them I would pick the Belvederes or SL.
smbauerllc Posted August 5, 2021 Author Posted August 5, 2021 all these cigars suck ..save your money Any recommendations in the under $120 range, 10ct or 25ct?@Lrabold89 Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk I respectfully disagree with the sentiment that "all" of those cigars suck. If you can find some singles to try first, I'd recommend trying the RyJ Sport Largos, Upmann Regalias and/or Epicures, and the HdM Palmas Extra. This is for 25ct boxes. If you're looking at 10ct priced under $120, your options broaden. Look for various petite robustos from Partagas, HdM, etc. Edited August 5, 2021 by griller can't spell

Have tried them before and they are just too small and fast smoking for me, and leave me unsatisfied and craving more. Same reason I don't buy HUHC's or other similar sized smokes anymore. Would be great if they both came in the same Blend, but a larger vitola. Anything under an hour smoke time just really isn't satisfying to me, even though both taste great. Since I'm retired i have no time constraints where I need a quick smoke, so I stick with the larger vitolas 1 hour ago, griller said: I respectfully disagree with the sentiment that "all" of those cigars suck. I'm definitely open to a 10ct box of something as long as its under $120, as i need to have enough left over to get a PerfecDraw tool Sadly there doesn't seem to be a lot of vendors that carry 10ct boxes, but the one I'm planning to by from next has a few options I am considering 1
