smoked one from an SOM DIC 15 box two weeks ago...it was just as good as it has been for the past 5 years...one of my favorite ELs and really wish I would have gotten a box from the recent offering...

Here is the link to a 2016 review...

A mid-2019 review...

and a late-2019 review...

@JohnS it seems that overall you were not particularly pleased with the way these cigars have aged

The problem may be that the 2016 review was based off a cigar that smoked to an extremely high standard based off a combination of core flavours which have since changed. So, one could argue that my expectations have influenced my 2019 reviews.

My last review, construction-wise, is quite self-evident though. When a cigar unravels like that one did, well then yes, the review can't help but be affected.

I have an unopened box from 2015 (My God...I simply cannot believe what this box goes for on Bond Roberts at the moment!) and I'm quietly confident that they won't let me down when I get around to opening it. With H.Upmann, I've always been prone towards long-term aging, that is, 5 years and over and that is why I haven't touched my late-2015 H.Upmann Magnum 56 box.

Great minds think alike.  H.Upmann, is my favorite line of cuban cigars and I've always been prone towards long-term aging, that is, 5 years and over too.

I too still have an unopened box of 2015.  I had two unopened boxes but regrettably I sold one last year and I cry 😭 every-time I think of it selling for a price about 1/3 of what the last one sold on Bond Roberts.  It is amazing the way prices of cigars have escalated in the last 15 months.

Had one last year. It's mellowed quite a bit from it's early days. Has a little bit of everything Upmann. A little shortbread, a little licorice, a little spice. Very nice. 94-95 points for me.

Worth it at current prices? I'd rather have a Sir Winston.
