Popular Post RichG
This cigar opened with a flat, dull woody and boring first half inch, which had me thinking, wow I am in for a rough ride here. Then it pleasantly opened up into honey, coffee, light spice and the slightest hints of what seem to me to be fuel. Do other folks get this fuel taste often? It stayed strong until the second third, where it receded a bit and developed more prevalent wood and coffee only notes. Thankfully, the honey returned in droves in the final third, and the coffee flavor became dark and was accompanied by an overly creamy mouthfeel. I was grateful, as its not often I find that chasing a flavor into the final third pays off. This box had some questionable elements to it regarding authenticity, which regrettably I purchased when I knew less than I know now. As time allows I will add it's story to the authenticity section of the forum and let the experts weigh in with their opinion. Regardless, this particular smoke from the bunch was most certainly Cohiba, and was decidedly enjoyable. I give this 2.5/3.33 for first third, 1.75/3.33 for the second third, and 2.75/3.33 for the final third, for a total of 7/10. Needs a lot more time down I would wager.
Kaptain Karl
Sounds like the flavors besides the fuel are similar to what I got from my September one this week! Definitely need more time but IMO they’ll be damn good in 1-2 years!
MrBirdman
Looks real enough on the surface - I wouldn't usually smoke a Siglo II without at least 2 years ago, and 3 or 4 years is better. LTO has been a good code so should improve.

Do other folks get this fuel taste often? If you mean like gasoline. I got it in my recent PLPC. I've heard it mentioned before on the forum. Possibly last by @PigFish.

Enduin
Maybe the tobacco was harvested by the last farmer on Cuba still operating, over-enthusiastically, diesel tractors?
