Interesting, I got completely different flavors from my MSU 17 box recently! Phenomenal cigars none the less!

Yes, I've only had one, it was an ETP ENE 16, but main thing I got was fruit. Much more than any other cigar I think (banana and apricot amongst other things).

Looking at my notes I've got almond, cream, floral, marzipan, spice and vanilla too. Got one left I'm saving for summer.

But CCW says the second most common flavour after fruit is wood.

This particular cigar wasn’t the most “typical” of my experiences in the past.  I do often get more lactones (peach/coconut/almond) but this one was leaner.  When they hit, they are among the most refined cigars that Cuba makes.

That's because a few of the tasting notes have come from me. Yes, I admit it! ?

However, casting jokes aside, as @Wailbait has mentioned, younger La Gloria Medaille d'Or No.4s can have a 'woody' note to them.

Yes, I concur. Those stonefruit or nutty notes such as coconut or almond can be more present in older varieties. The La Gloria Medaille d'Or No.4 lends itself to being a wonderfully complex cigar and as they age, again I agree, they can attain a wondrous refinement.

Since I got my two MDO4 from you @JohnS I am glad you picked out the fruity ones for me ?

I wish these were still readily available ?

I recently had a dream where I walked into my local B&M and I saw a box of MDO4 that was marked down for sale for $90. The tobacconist told me "they were sitting in the humidor for a long while, happy you purchased them today." I really wish this happened in real life ?
