Reading everyone's posts from the past few months has taught me a lot. Appreciate everyone's efforts! I've really been wanting one of those FOH stands so here goes! Partagas Serie P No.2 - I was gifted a few singes from a good friend, so I don't have the box code, but it is 2020 production. They've been resting for a few months at 68F & 62RH. Aroma at cold is light hay and sweet tobacco. Not much to note here. Cold draw displays light cedar, hay, classic tobacco notes. Draw is perfect. First 3rd - Starts woody/cedar with a blast of pepper. There's a clear toasted sweet tobacco note mixed with a little creamy Cuban twang. Smoke output is fantastic. The pepper continues through the end of the first third. All the aforementioned notes continue in a muted and mixed way. Toasted tobacco with a slight sweetness is the predominant flavor. Construction, burn, & draw are all absolutely perfect. Second 3rd - The second 3rd is much of the same. I'm still getting a little of that classic Partagas twang, but it's fading fast. Some pepper/fading fast too. Sweet toasted tobacco is still the predominant note with a hint of honey here and there. Smoke output is perfect. I'm really impressed with the overall construction, but the pockets of flavor are elusive. Final 3rd - Straight toasted, slightly sweet tobacco. The little twang I did notice has faded completely. Construction is still top notch. I'm giving this P2 an 89. It's getting the 89 simply due to construction. Perfectly built cigar, just not much personality. If grading on taste alone, prolly 85-87.
