Popular Post Kaptain Karl
I’ve had this box since 2018. I have 15 left. I was a rookie when I bought this and smoked 9 (and gave away one!!!!!!!!!!) before I knew that this box needed more time. This is my first one in over a year so I was excited to let it rip. 1/3 Wood opening. Then a blast of fruit, cream and floral notes. Exceptional smoke output and flavor intensity. Extremely classy. A spiced fruit cake note enters an inch in, followed by floral/tart stone fruit like a nectarine. Extremely complex. 2/3 The same complex of complexity remains. Every draw is different. Some more wood driven, some more floral, some more bright twangy stone fruit, and some spiced fruit cake. It’s an absolute masterpiece, everything you could wish a Cuban to be. This is why you give all of your NC’s to friends while you hope your CC can be this. One of my top 3 CC experiences was 3 years ago when I went to my friends house and was given a MdO 4. I was brand new with CC’s and had no idea what the cigar was. I looked confused at my buddy who has an unreal CC collection and he gave me this little twig of a cigar. He said give it a go and poured some Ardbeg 20 Something (the best whisky I’ve had by a long shot) to pair with, and it was one of those life altering experiences. This cigar is on that same level. 3/3 My old man called and we got into a great convo so here’s where my notes die off but all the same combo of flavors. Nothing crazy new or different but still the amazing complexity of these flavors. Overall: This was my second cigar of the day and still a magical, unreal cigar experience. It put me in a different dimension. The Highland Park 12 was a great paring...but didn’t compare to this cigar. 98 point cigar. The best of the year!
Bijan
Great review! I've only had one MDO4 so far but my experience was similar, though maybe not as stellar. Still have one left. Kind of tempted now...

They had the ingredients, just needed more time to meld together. The uniqueness of the flavors are something else too. Out of the 50+ boxes I have, nothing compares.
JohnS
15 left? Savour them. The last time I looked, the last few boxes on Bond Roberts went for 3.2 times the price that I remember them at the beginning of 2019.
Bri Fi
Great review. I have a box of MSU MAR 18. I haven’t had one in about a year and holy moley was there a difference. 98 is a hell of a score. That’s the dragon we all chase. Congrats.

westg
Nice review, very much under the rader cigar. They can become especially good with age.
