dicko Posted May 14, 2020 Posted May 14, 2020 My personal experience is that wrappers make a big difference to the flavour of a cigar. I like all shades but if I had to pick one I would choose rosado. I think they look great and find they can add a nice cedar and leather element to a cigar. Does anyone have any thoughts on rosado wrappers? Do you like them? I think you can see a reddish hue to both lighter or darker wrappers and for me they often signal quality flavours. Would love to hear some of your thoughts. Cheers Dicko Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk 1
Popular Post IanMcLean68 Posted May 14, 2020 Popular Post Posted May 14, 2020 For me, it depends on the marca. Rosado wrappers with a nice sheen are preferred, in fact I consider almost a prerequisite for me, for Partagas and Romeo y Julieta. 7
Popular Post JohnS Posted May 14, 2020 Popular Post Posted May 14, 2020 I'm exactly like @IanMcLean68, I prefer rosado wrappers on Partagas and Romeo y Julieta. I would think more so on Romeo y Julieta as I find they accentuate the 'fruity' flavours within that marca. 6
... Posted May 15, 2020 Posted May 15, 2020 Love rosado wrappers. I remember a cab of HdM DC with rosado wrappers... they were amazing ? 1
KavalanWhisky Posted May 15, 2020 Posted May 15, 2020 I always wanted to ask, can someone show me the difference between a normal wrapper and rosado wrapper, Prez always mentioned that you need to hunt for them but I never can tell what he actually means. 1

Of course, they are primarily brown but they have a red or orange tint/hue to them. As opposed to a yellow or grey or black hue. Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
KavalanWhisky Posted May 15, 2020 Posted May 15, 2020 Any chance of some photos to show the difference? I always thought the 24:24 photos were not actually photos of the sticks we were going to receive so never looked too closely.
Popular Post dicko Posted May 15, 2020 Author Popular Post Posted May 15, 2020 Ok so first two I would say are rosado wrappers (one is an r&j Cazadores which is often cited as being good with a red wrapper. One is a Fuente Rosado Sungrown.) The third is a PL picadores which i think has a grey/brown wrapper..the 4th a cohiba which has a colarado claro golden type wrapper. Popular Post 99call Posted May 15, 2020 Popular Post Posted May 15, 2020 this box of R&J Tres Petit Coronas were the reddest rosado I've ever seen, the picture doesn't really do it justice, they were glowing, like afternoon sun blazing onto a rusty shed. 9
BrightonCorgi Posted May 15, 2020 Posted May 15, 2020 You'll know the rosado wrapper color when you see it person. 1
