Popular Post nKostyan Posted May 9, 2020 Popular Post Posted May 9, 2020 I like to cook with a cigar in my mouth. My summer kitchen allows Smoking. Cooking on a wood-burning stove in an Asian national a cast-iron cauldron "Kazan" is most compatible with a cigar, because it does not require constant attention and makes it possible to sit in a chair with a cigar and relax. There are a lot of recipes for kazan dishes, mostly simple recipes that allow improvisation. I usually take a long cigar or two medium ones, because I have 2-2.5 hours. I start slowly after lunch, so as not to smoke on an empty stomach. Today, May 9 - the 75th anniversary of the Victory over Nazi Germany, is a great holiday for us. The only Cuban cigar that is somehow associated with the memory of that war is H.Upmann Sir Winston, Prime Minister of Great Britain, one of the allies in the anti-Hitler coalition. First I prepare the components of the dish at home, then I take everything and go to the kitchen. The principle of the dish is quite simple: fry the balls of minced meat in boiling vegetable oil until golden brown, to seal the moisture inside. Then the meat is removed and begin to fry successively onions, tomatoes, carrots. Then reduce the heat and put the meat and potatoes. I stew it on low heat for about an hour. I light a cigar after roasting the meat. A cigar from a FOH Christmas sampler. Draw is medium-hard, just in case I used a thin drill beforehand to make a few holes to the depth of the last third - usually at the end the tobacco gets wet with condensate and resins and the draw will deteriorate. 1/3: the beginning of the cigar is soft, velvety, dry: sweet and sour, cedar, grass, DNA H.Upmann. 2/3: the Dryness has disappeared. The taste is enriched with notes of coffee with milk and a nutty taste more like the skin of hazelnuts. 3/3: the Taste is juicy, more like a thick cappuccino with dark caramel. Excellent cigar, traditionally high-quality and delicious. I take the kazan and go to the house where a hungry family is waiting for me. Everyone chooses their own set of vegetables. Children are naughty, the son does not like onions, the daughter does not like carrots, but this dish gives you a choice. In order not to go to the store, my wife made homemade bread and managed it without a cigar ? All those who celebrate the victory over fascist Germany in World War II - congratulations! ? 28 1
Odessa Posted May 9, 2020 Posted May 9, 2020 Hello nKostyan, Great post and a delicious тефтели с картошкой dish. Congratulations and my best wishes to you and your family. We are celebrating the victory over fascist Germany in World War II in San Francisco. Quite far from my home town Odessa. For how long H.Upmann Sir Winston had been aged? 1
nKostyan Posted May 9, 2020 Author Posted May 9, 2020 Hello nKostyan, Great post and a delicious тефтели с картошкой dish. Congratulations and my best wishes to you and your family. We are celebrating the victory over fascist Germany in World War II in San Francisco. Quite far from my home town Odessa. For how long H.Upmann Sir Winston had been aged?Thank you! Glad to see you, Odessa is a "Hero-city"!On FOH, it is customary to indicate the factory code and production date after the name of the cigar. You can see that this cigar is not aged (June 2019, age less than a year). I have also previously smoked Sir Winston without aging - a great cigar without flaws. However, most H. Upmann's aging well without loss of taste. 1

Sorry, I missed the cigar production date in the topic since all my attention was devoted to the cigar's smoking description and your cooking presentations. All the best! 1
