Popular Post smitte3
TGIF! I'm a fan of the smaller ring gauges, but don't have anything in stock I haven't already reviewed on FOH so today is one for the hand cannons. Picked up a single at an LCDH in December, but understand these were released Nov-2016 and is a 54 x 5.875" Cold draw is sweet cedar. Love the Exclusivo Cuba band. 1st third: Sweet cedar, hay, and grass. Smooth and mellow, light-medium bodied. One of the lightest bodied Cuban's I've ever had similar to an Oliva CT. Straight forward flavors, get a bit of the twang and a tiny hint of fading spice, smoke is light-medium viscosity. 2nd third: Consistent flavors, but wish this were a bit stronger. Silky smooth finish. Final third: Same flavors, solid relaxing smoke. Score: 91/100
NSXCIGAR
These were called Marquez. Generally well received. Nicely balanced with good SLR DNA. Under medium. Good cigar but I don't think they're worth the current secondary market prices.

smitte3
@NSXCIGAR You're totally right, got the name mixed up with the size. Agree with your secondary market prices as well, I enjoyed seeing in my humidor more than smoking it. I had the Diplotmatico Excelencia and meh... I have the ERDM Infantes Cuba RE sitting around, not expecting too much from it as I realize RE's are hyped and a bit hit or miss.

ERs are hit and miss, and since almost all have a significant premium one has to be very careful. For some reason the Marquez was priced rather high from the start. I think the Cuba ERs tend to inherently be a tad more expensive since they aren't exported from the island. Most of the Cuba ERs have been well received. I can't recall any opinions about the ERDM Infantes but you may be pleasantly surprised.
