Spirit of York 100% Rye Whiskey from Toronto, Canada. You fellas Up North make a mean ass fuc$ing Rye!

 

They make a Vodka, Gin and some other spirits that are available at the Distillery in Toronto and I have seen all of them in the liquors stores. But I have never seen the Rue in liquor stores and they don’t even mention it on their website!

Local Japan pickup - 2019 Edition.  Absolutely the best since 2015 or Al Young - totally lives up to the hype.

Great whiskey is for drinking, not hoarding.

A few from this week...Peerless Single Barrel Rye from their initial release year (2015) one of the first barrels they bottled.

Blood Oath #1 ...smooth vanilla bomb. The best of the 5 release by far and the original.

Looking for high adventure, I picked up a couple things I’ve never had before. Heard a lot about Blanton’s, this was around $60 and they had one more bottle. Should I not have left it there? I’m wondering now, since I don’t recall seeing it here before.

Yeah, I kind of figured after perusing this sub-forum and seeing all the Blanton’s love. Plus the guy at the store made it a point to tell me about a recent delivery of Blanton’s, as an unusual event. Thanks Ken.

I've been enjoying HC Pacto Navio rum.  I also cracked open my Oban 14 bottle. I'm also eyeing various bottles of Red and Sauternes that are pushing 10-15+ years of age.

Outstanding. Incredibly smooth for a barrel strength Rye. I think their bourbon is good, but their Rye is excellent. They put on an awesome tour too. I can't remember the name of the tour but it's a little longer and more in depth than their standard tour. Highly recommended.
