I saw that earlier as well. I have also heard rumblings that the school closure may extend beyond 3/30 and may go until mid April. And then they closed the golf courses as well!

Although true, this is a little misleading.  The courts have been shut down and therefore the jails will get pretty overcrowded fast.  I'll admit the reasoning does not calm the nerves, but it is an unfortunate result of this, IMHO unjustified, hysteria.

Damn, did they?

I live a block from Walnut lane and was planning on going tomorrow.  My wife claimed she saw a couple people out today.

Saw an email from the First Tee yesterday, I think, that said they were suspending operations for at least 2 weeks. Several other courses are doing the same.

Of all of the things to do that could spread this, golfing is not one of them.  I cant think of an activity where you are further away from people then golf.

Are they going to suspend fishing licenses next?

My guess is the City had bigger issues to deal with. Your "missed" greens fee won't be a big deal. It does seem a bit extreme to close the course. But it minimizes interactions in the pro shop and limits the need to constantly clean and sanitize all the surfaces inside.

This is happening in the Bay Area (california). Only serious felonies are being taken to jail. All proactive policing Has come to a halt. Criminals will catch on fast.

I think I’ll wait for the actual news instead of some guy on twitter. We hear enough “official” fake news from a guy on twitter already.

It is on legit city news sources.  It's true, and the courses are being closed too.  I was so looking forward to playing tomorrow.

But you have to take the good with the bad, The Erin Express was cancelled too, which a God Send to any who live in the city limits.

Once I get there I’ll steal a nice car, rob someone for some play money aka hookers, write a few bad checks then come home for under 50 bucks.
