Like many others here, my fiancée will often take a puff or two of whatever I'm smoking, but isn't really interested in a cigar of her own.  Generally speaking, she prefers something milder.  The single Cohiba Secretos I tried seemed to stand out as a favourite for her.

My GF favorites are any of the  Partagas Serie D, party shorts,   and Trinidad  anything.

I should add she really liked the Siglo III

This is what I'd be afraid of. That'd be an expensive hobby if you both smoked through a box of CoLas every week...

Only kidding :D

She can light up whatever she wants.

We have got into the lovely  routine of a drink and a cigar together Saturday afternoons.

I know plenty of cigar loving women from around the world and in the words of Mr T "I pity the fool"  who tries to tell them what they should smoke ;)

Monte media Corona, HUHC, ryj Petit royales, plmc. She takes maybe 1.5h to smoke those so it's rare to go anything bigger.

I completely agree. That sounds nice.

It would be nice one day to meet someone that would share this hobby with me

I think this is more a question of a beginner's preference really and what to hand out to a novice / occasional smoker, than it is anything related to gender.

Personal preference, yes, but likewise a particular socialisation of the kind "girls don't do that" still seems to prevail. It's a bloody shame. Small or only slender-format, "mild" cigars for women? - BS!

I think this is a genuine question for our ladies here, such as @canadianbeaver, @Perla, @cigcars or @VKUTT.

As a former cig-addict, my missus doesn't like or want to smoke anything anymore. But she enjoys the aroma of a fine Cuban being smoked inside the house. I count myself blessed in this regard.

Bingo!

And I love to smoke with members here around the world! You are so right!

Cheers @Fugu

I appreciate the advice. Carry on.

Bbf and boli PC have been the most enjoyed.  This happens with novices of all genders where newbies don't want to commit to a full stick but will gladly share puffs with others.  Then this can turn into them just having half the stick.  There's something about just having a puff that I find a lot of newbies like.  Then they end up doing half the stick.

Just to go off the women stereotype reminds me of my favorite throwaway bit of a restaurant name on the all woman planet from a cartoon show.  I'm ashamed of how funny this is.  Female friends and family approve so I'm okay with it.

Telling a woman what to smoke is like telling a transvestite what shoes to wear.

Smoking cigars is a wonderful experience and interest. Gender should be irrelevant after the question, “Would you like a cigar?” gets a positive reply.

When guests join us for a smoke, we offer advice of various sizes and strengths like we all know here. We even say they can have something small, followed by a second one if they love it.

We also say if they like it but want to take it home and smoke the rest later they can. Or if they light up and it is not for them, just leave it in the ash tray. No worries. Just trying something new is interesting.

Of my lady friends who have never smoked before but want to try, after I explain the flavours and profiles, they tend to gravitate to the sweeter, creamier style cigars in the beginning. Have you seen a similar trend amongst your first timer friends, or is it just the people I hang out with!

Mind you, those who have continued to enjoy cigars, have moved on from just that type of profile and now enjoy a wider range of cigars. The others just puff puff pass whatever I'm smoking.

Gender, again, has been a non issue as we have noticed. Both have either been eager or yuck. And sometimes the season drives the type of smoke folks choose too around here, even though we partake inside my studio cigar cave in winter.

Now, all this lady cave shite aside, it is just truth that 97% of our cigar smoking pals are men. Weed smokers? 50/50! Cigarettes? 100% women.

They know my level of interest and experience and like I said, non-issue. At least to me. Lol.

Does anyone remember the classic American movie, *Gigi*, from the late 50s (set in Paris)? Gigi learned to cut and light gentlemen’s cigars. The beginning of my bride’s cigar journey came from her wanting to “Gigi my cigars.” ??

My wife has happily taken some puffs here and there on a few of the cigars I've been having at times. Her favourite thus far was a PL encantos and montecarlo.
