I recently posted some photos of a box of Epi 2's on the Suspect Cigar sub-forum.  More interested in just this factory code though.  Anyone see "DED" before??  @nKostyansuggested that it is just missing an "A" to make "DEAD"!! ?

I don't believe HSA has ever used the letter D in any code ever. There are certain letters they seem to have always avoided (D, J, Q, W, X, Y, Z).

I saw your post in the Suspect forum and I'd say there are definitely several things about that box that are off. The cigars themselves don't look bad but I would be very skeptical about the authenticity of that box.

Have never seen a “DED” box before... what year is it from?

Box stamped ENE 19.

These codes were for the factories of the province of Villa Clara in 1999. Very similar but not DED

Well, even if the DED code was on that list, it wouldn't quite jive with the ENE 19 date on the box.
