Fake or Real

These were purchased through an LCDH in Belgium

They look quite rough for a premium smoke. I would like to know the thoughts of some out there more experienced than I

 They smoked ok... pretty average

Do you have access to a blacklight?  The white part on the main band will glow.   And a "MC" will appear on the main band in the back.

I doubt the bands are fake. Easy enough to obtain. The question is whether the bands were removed from genuine cigars and placed on fakes.

LCDH Belgium is a trusted vendor but did you purchase them yourself at the B & M or mail order or through a third party?

FWIW, the wrapper appearance itself looks fine but the cigars are very lumpy--much lumpier than any 1935 I've seen. And the bands are placed quite sloppily and look loose. Any of those by themselves wouldn't bother me but all of them together might raise an eyebrow. 

Hard to say without smoking it.

Judging simply by how easy the glue came undone, I'd say fake.

Fake or Real

I picked up some Monte Linea 1935 which look a bit rough for a premium cigar

they smoked ok, loose ash. Bands were all loose.

I wanted some opinions from people with more experience than I

Agreed the construction on these looks off for sure. Possibly rebanded.

Do you have the box or just singles?

I have seen plenty of rough premium cigars. 

That is certainly one of them 

In this case, you buy the seller.

Not a pretty stick but nothing screams fake to me, especially if the seller is who I think it is.

First of all...who fakes a Dumas? And it's better one or two of those, instead of purchasing the whole box. Just saying, no big deal. Sounds like the experience could've been worse though. Just meh. Buy the seller for sure

Also if you have a blacklight you can check if the Monte band has MC marked on it, could still be a legit band put on a fake stick, but just for your future reference

In the future, if you want to play this game, get us clear, in-focus pics of the cap and bands at least.

Quite possibly the original. At Habanos Day in Russia 2018 there was a presentation of this line. Many complained about the poor quality of rolling, there were many tunnels. This is an official HSA event. So the appearance is not an indicator, I would pay more attention to the bands.

If the seller is involved in the sale of “gray market” cigars, its reputation can not be 100% white

The sad part is the seller is a very high profile store that you would assume you could trust!

But if it doesn't show, you know it is fake.  Just one of many tools to help figure things out.  I never said it was absolute.
