Only one cigar that I tried blew me away was the  Tyrannical Buc Corona  from Ryste at JSK.

Thanks for the post and pictures.  What is under the potatoes in the first picture?   All that food looks really good.

Well - It's fried onions with Bratkartoffeln ( fried potatoes ) what you are looking at, par for the course in the Rhineland area - Not Sauerkraut at all ...

Oooops, right you are, checked it  - Apols if they are.- 

To be honest it looks more like meat to me ( and my wife ... ? ), never seen Knödel on top of Sauerkraut .... ?

they were potato dumplings. Interesting texture but not sure it went with the Sauerkraut either. :D

Yeah, that’s a weird combo indeed. Not familiar with it.
