Popular Post El Presidente Posted September 22, 2019 Popular Post Posted September 22, 2019 The Dortmund Inter Tabac fair was excellent. To be honest, i wasn't expecting much. People told me that vaping had taken over and that Dortmund as a city had zero nightlife and cuisine that was barely edible. I am happy to report that they were wrong I don't get to eat this type of food very often.......so I indulged I had a great time catching up with old friends and meeting new ones. Apologies if I missed you. It was dead set madness. Thank you to the guys at the Cigar Journal for allowing us me to use their booth for a little filming. Thanks also for the table...... and the excellent beers. I promise to repay you with some business Best new product....all categories? Best booth? Hands down scandinavian tobacco who had a master pipe tobacco blender on hand to mix your favourite. Here is Justin getting a tin of morning glory. New cigars? Only one cigar that I tried blew me away was the Tyrannical Buc Corona from Ryste at JSK. I liked it so much that I smoked it three times over the three days. it will certainly go into my rotation. I did a video review on it which will be posted up in a few weeks. I put Gino onto them (he was there....so good to hug my good mate) and from what i saw he was enjoying it as well. Outside of that, most things I tried were ghastly at worst and bloody average at best. i suspect way too many of the cigars handed out by all manufacturers were way too fresh. Pepper bombs abounded. They don't do themselves any favours. There were plenty of booze exhibitors that we sampled. Gin, whisky, rum, moonshine, schnapps. All the while we smoked cigars. It was indeed bliss. I was blessed to have the company of Justin Seldis (CigarTraveller lighters) over the two days. He is a Dortmund fair veteran and it certainly helped to have a guide. He also brought a few cigars to review including this cracker. Who knows what it is Overall a great weekend and i will be back next year. 11 4
