I've been trying to go deep on Connie A's when the opportunity presents itself.  Current production looks fabulous.  But with respect to past years' stock, is there any appreciable difference in production quality between the Connie A's of 2014, 2015 or 2016?  Any particular box codes to look for from those year?  Any to particularly avoid?

I have a box of ALO 16 and MEG 15 that have all been very good. I’ve smoke about half a box of each. The MEG has had one or two that have been underfilled but overall they have been great.

I’ve mostly had multiple boxes from 2014 and they were and are consistently very good. The only newer ones I’ve had and have are 2017 and they are also very good but a notch below the 14’s. That could just be the age difference. Hard to go wrong with any but if you can pick up 14’s that’s what I’d do.

Funny I posted something like this in 24:24 I had a box of A’s and they were very mild to me none of that deep rich upmann flavor and I’ve heard the opposite so I looked back in reviews from the past and there is a point when they go from medium to medium/full and when you add age (witch is what I had box from few years back) it takes that medium down another notch where a fresh A might taste almost full body in comparison

Interesting.  So the older ones were medium (when fresh) while the newer ones now tend to be medium/full?  Any idea when the inflection point occurred?

My boxes from ASR NOV 17 are stunners, even @  less than 2 years old. I don't remember my 16 box codes, but i do think I've enjoyed my 17s more.

MEG 16s were on point. I smoked a box already and it was lighter than the other MEG 16 box I have. The other I have on ice looks Uh-mazing. I have 3+ boxes and the open one has only 5 or 6 missing. Those MEG 16s will be my aging long long term box. I'll enjoy the other 3 boxes in the following years.
