madandana Posted December 31, 2018 Posted December 31, 2018 Afternoon smoke with Dana then off to a smallish party where we’ll enjoy crab and ribeye. It’s at a smoking buddy’s house but I’m not sure he has a spot to smoke and the weather will be nasty here tonight so we won’t be sitting outside. Hopefully he heats up his garage so we can have a smoke. 2
Homer Posted December 31, 2018 Posted December 31, 2018 Work and NO cigars. I am our hospitals only ENT surgeon who has to work from monday 3pm to wednesday 3pm. 1
tigger Posted December 31, 2018 Posted December 31, 2018 Dinner at our place with some of our closest friends. Cigar was to be a 2010 Sir Winston, but I'm not-so-successfully fighting a cold, so it will be put off until it wouldn't be stupid and wasteful to smoke it...hopefully next weekend. The Winnie time was also to be my refection over the past year/resolution time, but I will still take some time this afternoon to reflect. Happy New Year everyone!
havanaclub Posted December 31, 2018 Posted December 31, 2018 Off to a friend’s place with the family for an early dinner and kids countdown. We should be home by 8pm or so to put the kids down. Movie with the wife and I will likely get into the garage for a cigar. Will probably go with a PSP Cohiba Genios. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1
RyviaUSA Posted December 31, 2018 Posted December 31, 2018 Sure glad I tried this Padron 1926 Maduro early. This is truly the most disappointing cigar of 2018 for me. I've had probably 2 dozen Padron 1964 Maduros this year. They are dynamite. Always consistent, smoooooth. This 1926 was supposed to be even better, and at a $27 price tag. First 15min it burned decently. Taste was good. More complex than the 1964 but a nice cigar. Worth the price tag? Definitely not. Then after 15min I couldn't keep it lit anymore. Hooray. I will be enjoying one more cigar today before the end of 2018. I can't end on that atrocity.
ac031898 Posted January 1, 2019 Posted January 1, 2019 Stuck at home recovering from a nasty bug...so no smoking for me tonight. Had planned to enjoy a Partagas P2 from a recent 24:24 - guess I’ll have to wait a bit longer.Despite doctor’s orders, I am going to allow myself one Victory at Sea, my favorite coffee porter that’s only available in STL a few weeks each winter - was luck enough to find a case before it all sold out. Happy New Year to all!
ha_banos Posted January 1, 2019 Posted January 1, 2019 Well managed to get out as we'd already paid a deposit in advance. Just for food then came back home. Hope this cold doesn't relapse...But this is the left overs from the meal. We was stuffed!

canadianbeaver Posted January 2, 2019 Posted January 2, 2019 Have had a terrible cold this entire holiday, starting over a week ago. ? Missed two parties and Mr Beaver went without me. Hey, he should not just stay home. But no smoking for me because coughing and all that. ? But on New Years Eve, went to party at wine bar in Toronto after getting stuff from dr and clearance I was no longer contagious. Funniest part was night before I had somehow lost my voice and sound like I am a sexy talker. Or just a real quiet one. And this is a private wine club so you BYOB. I do not drink wine. I brought 2 bottles of whiskey and a sixer of assorted beers. This can then go in the locker. And this box of Bolivar inexpensive Tubos to hand out because they know I am the “Canadianbeaver’ Ha! Happy New Year! CB 2

Voice is still very cracked and hoarse; but I sound worse than I feel. Best of wishes to you, dear, and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! 1
