It’s been done in Tulsa. Called the Flying Tee. Can’t say it’s any cheaper than Top Golf, but the “knock off” is out there.

On another note, I did start my own business (bought a franchise), and I became a statistic. Scary part is, I would love to try it again, excluding the franchise piece of the equation. I always say that running and owning my own business was the best education I ever got, and also the most expensive. Don’t regret the failure for one minute, and would love to take the lessons I learned and make a go of it again. If starting something only cost $25k, I’m in!!

Why the need for the 25k?

Best advice I've ever been given by the guy you trained me. "Don't buy the equipment, untill your 100% sure you've got the contract".   Ultimately it really depends if the business is selling a product or a skill. If its skills you don't need start up money.

*One bit of advice I'd been given back during the years I thought I'd want to deal with my own business, the nature of my desires was car sales/repair. I was advised by business owners that car repair is a business where you'll always have customers; there'll always be plenty of business for you - just like owning a grocery store.

**HEY! THAT'S the way! Never give up, be willing to try again! I like that. It's refreshing. Just check out ALL the TALES of the names of Greats who tried and failed over and over and over again - never giving up. And then BAM! SUCCESS!!! :dollarsign: :dollarsign: :2thumbs:

Business consultant. I will pocket your 25K and tell you before you spent 75K that you are undercapitalized!

It has taken me far more than 25K to develop a humidor for my own amusement! I can't imagine what it would cost if I really wanted to make money at it... -LOL

You mean like this? Cubano I had on my lunch menu a couple years ago. I should bring it back. Fresh baked ciabatta, slow roasted pork belly, shaved country ham, house made pickles, Gruyere cheese and grainy mustard aioli.?

That looks fantastic! I would definitely order this. Fries on the side? Or perhaps a salad with some slightly bitter/spicy greens?

Seven years ago I quit my job of 28 years and with one child in college and the other a junior in high school, I emptied our bank accounts and started a discount golf store. I had zero experience in retail but was tired of someone else being in control and reaping the benefits of my hard work. I just recently emptied the accounts again, maxed out a couple credit cards, and on October 1st. Opened my third location. I absolutely love working for myself and lord willing will be able to do this for many more years.

Thank you for writing this, inspired me. Congratulations on your earned success as well.

My childhood hobby was breeding tropical fish, so I’d start a tropical fish farm.

I used to geek out on fish as a kid, I think I had 4 aquariums in my room as a youngster. Mostly saltwater, but always one fresh water tank. I really enjoy the tranquility they bring.

With 25K toward a business, I would buy two high demand Rolexes, flip them and repeat.

How did you start--buy 10k worth and resell until you had enough for a storefront or...? How is the market for Habanos where you live?

This would be quite easy depending on where one lives. The up-sell market for new Rolexes is insane. If you just go around visiting ADs buying up the popular models, this can be extremely profitable. I'm very curious how long this can last, however. Indefinitely?

I had private customers and and used to growing month by month. after some time our importer started to credit my business, then I started to sell some rarities abroad, then to different lounges in my country. our market is growing and when I started there wasn't any cigar lounge in my region. now we have a few.
