Yes, unfortunately you've come to Sydney and we've been hit with continual gusts of wind for two days of around 50 to 60 km/h, (31 to 37 mph) enough to effect flights. I'm so annoyed for you! Tomorrow the forecast is better.

annual travel insurance?

aren't airlines obliged to put you up if they cancel?

I do have annual travel insurance.

Airlines need to put you up if it is their fault.  Today was an act of God.  He must have thought you were on this flight because I know that I am one of his favourites :D

i take it that you have now opened the door to discussions on religion. this forum just got way more interesting.

but then again, stranding you down south - perhaps he just really hates sydney!

perhaps an indication of just what a favourite you are can be gleaned from just how successful those prayers have been to date.

as for a long week, i had 8 days in Margaret River with not a break. long, long days. early vineyard visits, lunches, dinners, tastings, a heap of visits. not a spare second. last day, up at sparrow's for another visit and then four hours to perth and then listening to those morons in the Q club and then five hours flight and then the drive home. get in way after midnight and there, on the footpath, is a case of 12 of the finest champers you can get (and to be honest, they are almost impossible to get). sitting in a queensland sauna, on a day of storms. no idea how long it had been there.

and this after three emails and two calls to make certain it would not be delivered while away. needless to say, hugely pissed (in the american sense). so then got on the computer till 4.30am unloading on anyone i could think of. to be fair, the company has been terrific and replacing them.

but there's your long day.

... we all have our 'cross to bear.'

I spent all of yesterday wondering when I was going to be fed and what cigar to smoke. I am exhausted from it.

.... for a few moments, I felt like a certain Aussie pirate!

Dynamic pricing.

Cancel 100 flights at the same time.  Half those are out of towners.

trust me, if you'd done your best 'ken impersonation', you'd be home.

our vid looking dodgy for monday. perhaps you need to bring something really good to make yourself feel better.

and given your opening exclamation and pleading to the iconic magician, may i suggest that perhaps he and his ilk are not taking as much notice of you as you imagined.

good luck.

What they cancelled your flight again, today (Saturday)? Seriously? The weather is perfect outside and I'm only 17 km away (around 10 miles).

backlog. They can't fit the 100 flights from yesterday into todays schedule, even with additional planes.

On hold now. 1 hr.

aren't you gold or platinum? that should have got you out of there.

next idea is to point out that the prescription you need urgently refilled for those lifesaving pills is back in brizzy.

Will try that one.  Yesterday I said I had to get back for my mate Kens wedding, I was best man. That did nothing. They said it best to drive.

They joys of travel . People who don’t have to do a lot of it often think of it as fun or glamorous, the problem is when you do it all the time it is anything but.

Hope things work out
